I think she did great! I just wish she would quit passing her baby to their youngest daughter. I'm worried she might drop him:)

Gosh darnit, she did to doggone good job repeating the same memorized nonsense lines about "maverick" this, "maverick" that.

I think Sara did great.I did get a bit mad when Gwen started with Biden and Sara, but allowed Biden a third time and left Sara standing there with NO chance to speak back before she went to the next question.
I like the way she brought herself there tonight.I would have like to seen alittle more bulldog, but again as she did as her partner McCain did. she held her cool..talked about what was important and did try to win by CUTTING down all the time.
I sure hope you women that haven't made up you mind can see this lady loves our country and family. This ticket cares. The Obadan ticket shows me two men that can be very cocky and hot headed. The debate tonight didn't change my mind in any way,but show me the love and care that the McCain/Palin team has.

I think she repeated exactly what she had been told to say by her handlers. She didn't answer questions, she averted them to attack Senator Obama. She just reaffirmed that she is a talented liar.

Anyone who votes for her and McCain is not that bright. Not that Obama and Biden are any different. The real choice is Ron Paul. If you support Palin you are delusional and uninformed or disinformed.

Anonymous said...

She sure DIDN"T attack like Biden did.She didn't play the cut down came.Maybe we watched two different debates!

Matt said...

honestly, she cannot answer a single question. she deflects everything. if you're interested in seeing an extension of the last 8 years, vote for mccain/palin

Anonymous said...

the last eight years have been awesome! mccain palin all the way! this blog has convinced me that the last 8 years have been super-duper!

She did better than I expected, but I still felt that she was mostly repeating what she had been coached on. Her constant useage of the word Maverick made her seem weak. If she had been able to defend her position without it, she would have appeared stronger. I have to say I don't understand the idea of supporting her simply because she claims to relate to the average guy. It frightens me to think that someone would want "joe six-pack" running our country. Simply because the average joe can relate to someone is NOT a valid reason to put them in office.

She didn't screw up as bad as her interviews but it was pretty clear she just memorized a bunch of points. When she got folksy it just didn't seem sincere.

man i love you libs - you'd think you'd be somewhere supporting your own candidate... whatever.

i thought palin was fabulous tonight - she was direct, factual, engaging, witty, relevant and smart. we, the american people, can see right through the condescending, elitist bravado of joe biden (come on, CHAMP - you hang out at home depot? - give me a friggin' break) sarah palin was a breath of fresh air cutting through the stagnant, stifling, liberal rhetoric wafting from biden's podium...

P.S. Henderson said...

sounds like you are drinking some kind of kool aid...please.

Jen Crane said...

oh yeah - PS henderson - PALIN's the talented liar?? and obama is the fount of truth and full disclosure???

thanks for the comic relief. :)

P.S. Henderson said...

uh...read the records...wait for the investigation to be over in alaska...or maybe you can see russia from wherever you are at too?

Anonymous said...

"Joe six pack"? - what?! now she's quoting Mr. Burns from The Simpsons?

Jen Crane said...

oooh, wait - koolaid - that's a racist term, right? shame on you!

by the way, it's called belief in one's convictions and having a moral compass by which one lives his or her life. you should try it some time.

no, i'm in texas - just like you are sweetie - i will WELCOME the investigation report from alaska...

P.S. Henderson said...

i do have a moral compass...i don't lie..or kiss ass to get elected...i vote my conscience...i don't support any candidate that distorts anyone's record..i don't lie about taking earmarks for bridges and roads to nowhere...and SWEETIE...i grew up drinking koolaid...my family is the middle class...and your response is depressing...it just shows the ignorance that is evident in the country right now...

henderson...go start a page. Women for Obama.Sara stood for who she is and what their ticket stands for. All Biden did was cut down McCain and Sara was NOT given a chance to respond to his lies.yes they were non truthes. He couldn't cut her down because there is nothing on her.
Tami...I went to the opening of the AOL page and there is a picture of Sara standing at the curtain praying before she went on stage. I sure hope you get a hold of that picture it is one to treasure.

She seems nice, but she's just not Vice President of the United States (are you kidding me?!) material.

Anonymous said...

I think she did a great job tonight. She talked to the camera (the people) and Sen. Biden. He, on the other hand, kept talking to Gwen Ifill and repeatedly looked back....not to the future as she did.
As a side note: You have to admit she is much better looking!!!

P.S. Henderson said...

and you assume that because someone points out palin's lies and ignorance...that they are obama supporters?...you are the reason that this country is like it is...you need to do a little praying...to open your eyes.

Tami said...

I have no problem with both sides commenting here, but you will not take my God's name in vain or use filthy language as one of the first posters did. Keep it clean and help yourself.

Well, I look at it this way if you don't support either why are you here just to fight? As an American it would be nice if you are gonna stand on something to vote on it.
The reason the country is the way that is is because we have left what our country was founded on and taken God and prayer out of the White house and this country.
I do pray everyday for this country and for my son that is overseas fighting so you can live free.Im not sitting here spouting off on who said what..I am here to support a Christian team that isn't afraid to tell the truth and stand on it.
Tami im sorry I don't mean to fuss on your page, but I don't take attack well on me and my prayer life.

Anonymous said...

I got news for you Brenda, your son may think he is fighting over seas to protect your freedom, but he is not...and he probably has figured that out by now...you should too. Ron Paul is a great choice.

Anonymous said...

Ron Paul people, take it someplace else.

Anonymous said...

That's right. The Ron Paul people do take it somewhere else. To the stage of legitamicy. People who really care about the country. Something Palin don't know anything about.

Anonymous said...

Let tell you right now...you must not live in America and f you do you don't deserve to.
You have have stooped to pure scum when you talk about my son and any of our soldiers.
Have you been bombed? Did someone you love get killed in 911?
YES he loves our Country and is very proud to do his call. He sure isn't a coward. He can tell his name and has more to do than come to a page a cut down people.
Why don't you come forward with who you are if you want to talk crap.
I love you son and am proud of you for fighting for nuts such as this.So they can walk the streets and wake up without guns in their face and bombs going off in their ears!

Jen Crane said...

henderson, obviously you will believe what you want and i will stand firm behind my candidate... the beauty of this country (the greatest country in the world - no matter what obama says) is that we have the freedom to do so. i encourage you to find your own blog where you can voice your support of your own candidate instead of your feeble attempts at tearing ours down. cause it's NOT WORKING.

P.S. Henderson said...

well one thats less ignorant would be nice...but read all of the blogs...i'm not the only one that sees the truth here...the beauty of america WAS in it's opportunities for all regardless of where you came from..your party has destroyed that in less than 8 yrs...stop reading false emails and look up the record for yourself..

Tami ~ this blog is awesome! Thanks!

Now for the debate I think Sarah was totally awesome. She was so down to earth and I think she does remember being a middle class working family. I love hearing her use her personal experiences about their financial difficulties and such. Now I do think she used the word Maverick a little too much. I totally enjoyed watching her ~ she is graceful and kind. I love that she kept telling Joe Biden "thank you for your years of service." "I respect you for......." She is a real person! Good job, Sarah!

Brenda , with you all the way. I will say a prayer for your son tonight and let him know that AMERICA supports him !!! Its amazing that people have the nerve to speak ill of someone and have such a strong opinion on something but aren't secure enough obviously to put there names or even initials for that matter. In my opinion there comments are invalid. Sarah Palin did an awesome job last night, she stepped up with confidence that most politicians would envy. Joe Biden, was very demeaning and rude with his facial expressions and his conceited attitude. I think he is still trying to convince himself on his on stand on issues! Sarah Palin will be the only one that has the REAL american peoples best interest at heart. Joe Biden commented on his "modest" town, he knows nothing about middle class , Sarah Palin is living it. I cannot even imagine that any WOMAN would not back her 100%. She is what so many of us wish for in the White House and in politics alone. A REALITY CHECK!!

I don't agree with everything said in these movies, but they are informative and worth seeing.

WOW! This is a great blogspace. I do LOVE my country and I support Barack Obama for President of the UNITED States of America. It's always interesting to find out how others think and the rationale that is used for their beliefs. Yes, this blogspace is about Sarah Palin and I have heard so many of her supporters make the statement, "She is just like me." I find it hard to believe that anyone would support a campaign in which the top of the ticket is 72 years old and has proven he is dishonest, lacks any moral fibers, and will do almost anything to win. Since, most of the bloggers here are probably women...what do you all think of how McCain treated his first wife after her accident? Crippled and not so pretty anymore, he started cheating on her with his present wife (which doesn't say too much about Cindy Hensley McCain either). No, that is not the kind of person we want running the country. I am sure that you same women came out forcefully against Clinton with the Monica Lewinsky scandal...at least his wife wasn't crippled and maimed! But, back to Sarah Palin...I don't want a 'person like me' (the reference you all like to make about Sarah Palin) even close to running the most powerful country in the world...I want someone who is more educated, more worldly, and more open-minded than me...and someone who doesn't seem to have an affinity to guns! Don't get me wrong I have a college education, and unlike Sarah Palin I have been out of the country more than once, and pride myself on not clinging to close-minded beliefs. If you all would just be honest with yourselves...you know that McCain is too old to be president and Palin is not ready to be president...even if she does have 'executive' experience. Most neighborhoods have more people in them than the town that she was the mayor and most cities/ towns have more people in them than the state of Alaska....please women...use some common sense. Barack Obama( I am sure to your disdain) has shown himself to be presidential material with regards to foreign policy, domestic issues, and the horrible state of our economy. Biden has presidential potential as does McCain (but McCain is too old to be the president). He chose Sarah Palin because he was sure that the American public was gullible enough to support his campaign if he chose a women...Are you that gullible? There are so many other Republican women that he could have chosen besides Sarah Palin (who is NOT ready to step into the shoes of Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful country in the world). McCain's choice is a reflection of his ruthlessness and one of his slogans is 'Country First'...women use your common sense...McCain's choice of Sarah Palin reflects his mindset...would he make other choices like this if president. Do you honestly, in your heart of hearts believe that Sarah Palin would be ready to take over if that 72-year old's heart stops? Her performance in the interviews and the debate showed that she cannot think on her high-heels, she needs constant coaching, and doesn't or cannot answer the questions put before her. She may have brought some 'freshness'to this political arean ...but...we should want our vegetables to be fresh ....not the person who would be running the most powerful country in the world.

Wow!! It's true. Republicans, especially you of the evangelical type, really are close to being brainwashed. Anyone who buys into Sarah Palin and her "folksy" routine are literally out of touch with what is going on around them and how our world is quite literally falling down around us!! If anyone of you thinks she would be a great president simply because you THINK you identify with her, you're nuts!!!

LB said...

I find Sarah Palin an embarassment to politics and to women. Her "folksy, winking" routine is really getting old. It was apparent in the debate that she knew very little and was simply repeating what she had been coached to say. She is the replublicans' attempt to divert our attention from McCain, the doddering old fool, who is running for president. Make no mistake, Sarah Palin is not some wholesome, Christian housewife who would sit down with you and have a nice little conversation. She is a ruthless, unforgiving, bitter woman who would cut you to shreds for disagreeing with her.

Senator Joe Biden: "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed," Biden told Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"

Reason magazine had this very solid comment: "And if you owned an experimental TV set in 1929, you would have seen him. And you would have said to yourself, 'Who is this guy? What happened to President Hoover?'"

Funny how Katie never called him on this - maybe she's not too keen on her American history either... FDR wasn't inaugurated as President until 1932 and the patent for the television wasn't even purchased until 1939!!!

Pure genius.
