What I find interesting is how JESUS LOVING/GOD FEARING folks like the admin for this blog is listening to this RELIGIOUS woman spew outright LIES and HATE to conservative crowds while questioning mainstream media about NOT being "tough enough" on Obama. Meanwhile:

1. She refuses to answer a subpoena in Alaska.

2. She REFUSES to do an interview with liberal or non-conservative media including CNN and MSNBC.

3. Palin literally did a mimic hate speach of a Nazi party member against Obama.

4. McCain REFUSES to appear without her for fear the crowds will leave.

5 Palin is attempting to stir up future meth-head assasins who like to look at mini-skirts, messy 'sexed up' hairstyles and freaky teacher glasses.

I just saw this blog prostituted on CNN and just had to see it once I heard that PEOPLE WITH THE ABILITY TO THINK, like myself, were posting non-Palin views as well.

Moms, go get a job and stop sitting at home sipping tea. When you lose your home...see if McCain let you in 1 of his 13.

I got this website from CNN and after listening to the woman who developed this blog and the comments made on CNN...it doesn't make any sense. You all are engaged in the hype of someone who is obviously not capable, qualified or characteristically fits the bill to be VP of the US. I'm all of what you decided about her and more but I'm not capable either. I’m not stupid enough to even consider giving this party my vote. I question McCain’s judgment based on his VP selection. LOL When you answered the question about what the poles state and the fact that you weren't poled and therefore that makes a difference. Guess what? I wasn't poled and neither were any of the hundreds of individuals that we interact with daily so...I guess your point may be valid. There are many non-supporters of this party that share our views. She is nice looking, smart, great mom and wife. That's it. I question her judgment about her daughter being that she doesn't support sexual education. Look at what happened...maybe if her daughter was sexually educated she wouldn't be a mom having a shotgun wedding.

I hate to say this, but If you evangelical bimbos think you can force your religious nutball policies on the rest of america, you need to be institutionalized.

I am pro-life, that is why I support embryonic stem cell research. You nuts would be the first in line if tf and when they find a cure for a disease your child may get.

Sarah Palin should have spent more time with her daughter, perhaps then she would not have felt the need to have sex.

Jesus was a liberal; so obviously, you are not christians following the teachings of Christ.

They type of hate and blatant lies Palin and McCain are spewing is not an image of a president I can or would support.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to vote for the Mccain/palin ticket. It's absurd!! She is clearly an embarrassment to women! She is a nobody. She does not have what it takes to be VP. Everyone sees the game Mccain is playing, using her as a pawn for women voters....I guess it worked on some of you. Keep praying for her..pray that she returns to Alaska and take care of her new born and soon to be grandchild and leave the politics to others who know whats going on without out being rehearsed.

You go girl! I can totally relate! I'm voting for McCain/Palin because I have Downs and want someone in the oval office that I can relate to and that will be an advocate for me. God Bless.

Hello,
I am a very strong believing Christian that attends an Assemblies of God Church in Northern California. Personally I think that we should pray, and pray hard. However lets keep in mind that God has his own guidelines for this country to hang on too during these hard times. We have to also remember that God listens to prayers however we can't just pray for someone to be president, we need to pray so God just helps out Americans not for one candidate to win. I am also, a very strong Obama supporter. However I am not one of the people who believes McCain is horrible. I am voting for Obama because his plans for the country seem better to me than McCains. Sarah Palin is a good person but remember she is not running for president, McCain is. So pray brothers and sisters but, pray for the country not for a candidate. For example, praying for a candidate is similar to praying for your favorite sports team to win a match. We know God will guide us in the right direction we must have faith in him not Obama or Palin. Please I ask you brothers and sisters look at the issues not the Person. -
God Bless- Ilda ( in California)

I saw the CNN piece and I am disgusted beyond all belief. I am sick unto the death of uneducated, shoot-from-the-hip, anti-intellectual Know-Nothings occupying vital positions in our governments, state, local and national. This is no time for stupid people to be in charge of affairs, no time for the rest of us to be forced to suffer fools lightly. This is especially no time for appealing to the dark and baser sides of our national historical DNA, reaching back to race hatred and poverty frustration to craft the modern-day lynch mobs that Sarah Palin spends her days whipping into a frenzy. And so, this modern-day Siren very skillfully spins her song to snag the frustrated unwary, all the time talking in code, a vile and creepy code that the vicious and ugly among us understand all too well. She speaks their language and they adore her for it. She winks, like a common bar tart, during a Vice Presidential debate where she has absolutely no business being and conservative “pundits” see stars, get woodies and unabashedly write pornographically about it the next day all over the Internet. Embarrassing in the extremis. William F. Buckley, Jr. must be rolling over in his grave. Oh, how far we have fallen.

It is pathetic how all the left wing haters are responding to this blog. It just verifies that they don't respect diversity, because the minute that someone with opposing views is on the republican ticket, and especially a conservative women, they respond with their typical anger and HATE. It tells a lot about what they're made of.

Tami,

This is a perfect example of a bunch of under-educated, stay at home, upper income, evangelical moms who don't have to worry about putting food on their tables, or worry about health insurance for your family members. Wake up, ladies. Our country is crumbling to pieces, as you dress your kids in name brands, head off to the gym, then off to coffee with the girls for your daytime prayer group. How nice. Yes, abortion is wrong, but no more wrong that killing our kids in Iraq. McCain and Palin want to keep the war going for a hundred years...maybe you'll change your mind when one of your kids gets sent over there. I'm praying for you ... praying that you wake up and learn what's happening to your country. Because she is pro-life and has a functioning uterus, your group think that gives her the ability to function as our VP and step into the role of Commander in Chief??? Wake up, ladies. This woman spills hatred and legitimizes racism with her willingness to spread lies and deceit in the chase for an occasional vote.

So if Obama wins, isnt that Gods doing? Are you Christians (of NO diversity - not reflecting the religious and cultural diversity of this country AT ALL) going to say that it wasnt Gods plan when Obama gets into office?
I guess it will be the work of the Devil.

We here in Canada are terrified that Palin is one heartbeat away if by some miracle the McCain/Palin ticket wins (a very, very remote possibility)

.....she has to be the most arrogant, obnoxious and ridiculously under-qualified person to ever run for any political position.

Listening to her is like fingernails on a chalkboard.....eeek!

Mr. and Mrs. Obama are really showing their poise and class now........totally Presidential and oozing with true leadership.

Senator Biden is also an excellent choice and will be a great help to President Obama.

Sorry ladies but Canada also can't afford 4 more years of Bush and neither can Canadian troops.

cheers!

Some of the comments on here are so disgusting! They make me even more sure that we need Palin up in D.C. This country needs morals and I think Sarah is the one to help promote them. She has done more in her year and a half as governor than Obama has done in his time as a U.S. Senator. Voting "present" doesn't give you experience. McCain / Palin '08!!!

Listen' McCain putting Palin as his vice president is a political strategy to collect female votes' Which is not working very well on his part being that Obama's Females votes are up by 17 points...The McCain Campaign are taking drastic measures to try to win this election. Its sad to see all these out of touch men and women voting for John McCain, even worst Palin!!! These people have no political insight on what they are stating when they speak of Palin. I saw the interview on CNN, those women stated that they know her, they feel what she is saying, from the winks and the smiles. What about the plans and policies??? None of those women brought up anything about Palins views?? Those women are followers' and its sad to see that they follow the wrong group of people. I am a undecided voter....But now I know who I am voting for...after seeing how McCain ran his campaign that last few weeks...have disappointed me. I saw so much hate in his rallies' It seemed like a HATE RALLY!! I heard one man say,"Off with his head." That is insane!!! McCain supporters seem a little like John McCain Out of touch and temperamental.

To the folks who are trying to beat a dead horse...why are you even attempting to reason with people who were never reasoned into their beliefs, to begin with?

Unfortunately, 8 years of majestic F@ck-ups isnt convincing enough for some almost 50% of the population. So I have a proposition:

Please fellow neocons, take this election. Then impose a draft. Send your kids to fight your wars, let them die; blow yourselves another few trillion dollars into deficit; continue to shit-stain your kids' education in the name of your foolish foreign policies, and dont even cry one pathetic tear when the next financial crisis devours all your hopes and dreams away...you know why? Because if you're stupid enough to vote for a sports reporter to control your country's economic and political future...then you deserve every misfortune coming your way. Just dont ask your government to clean up your mess next time, when it is your arrogance and incompetence which brought you to where you are.

I truly do hope McCaine and Palin win the election. In fact, I pray.

Maybe this will be the final nail in the coffin to wake up the idiocracy.

So, Tami...

I think you see just how most people, from all walks of life, view Sarah Palin. Do you really need more opinions? Clearly, no matter how "awesome" Palin is, she's not qualified for this job.

Do you really think you're that much smarter than all these people? You're either the most egotistical and deluded person on the internet, or it's time for a reality check.

Just trying to help because you seem nice.

God bless...

You will probably reject these comments but please read any way.

First I am Christian and I am married to a minister. Second I have an adopted child. Third I do not see how Palin or any conservative candidate reflects my views as a Christian.

Palin states that she is Christian and active in her church. I find that tithing is a very spiritual act. I gain a deeper understanding of what Christ's priorities are when I give to him first. Seeing as all things we are given are ultimately God's and we are only loaned them to glorify his name. Having said that I recently learned of Sarah Palin's tax return. In one year she had a stated income of $127,000 and paid $12,000 in taxes but only saw fit to give away less than $4,000 to charity. I assume that at least in part this went to her church. This does not exemplify a Christian's expectation to tithe.

Second in every Bible I have picked up. In every version I have ever read. The overarching theme of Jesus Christ is that we should take care of the poor and the orphaned. Even the prophets of the Old Testament argue that Israel had strayed because they forgot to do this. Christ whole ministry was that of a revolution of love, peace and kindness to both our loved ones and enemies. I see no place in the conservative platform that agrees we should help the poor. It basically says if you are rich and have 7 houses to live in like big daddy McCain then you should stay rich. There is no protection or programs for the poor.

Some in your camp would argue that the Church should take up that burden. While I agree one hundred percent it is unfortunate that the Sarah Palins of the world do not see fit to tithe their ten percent. Leaving the church little choice but to back politicians that advocate for responsible spending and programs for the poor.

As far as conservative issues including abortion and gay rights. I believe Sarah Palin in the VP debate supports a gay persons civil rights. Regardless of my religion, because our nation is not founded on Christian values. Read a history book. All people under the constitution have basic rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I am able as an American to understand that everyone does not hold the same values as myself and they do not have to. That is the good part about being American. But just FYI I also think my Christian views call me to love even those I may disagree with.

I have an adopted child. I love my child and her birth family came from extremely difficult circumstances. I think that her mother and every other person that lives in poverty desreves the right to an education, healthcare and the right to have to opportunity to one day become a parent regardless of their income level. I do not think Mrs. Palin will fight for this. I have not heard her say one thing to the contrary.

Last but not least I pray for her pregnant teenage daughter. I am glad her family can support her. I am happy she has a family with the education and financial backing to support her. I also think that if this was a poor, minority teenager who was pregnant the overarching reaction would be "that is just another welfare mouth we have to feed." Not the support of a community around that young person to help them learn how to be a good parent. To encourage them to get an education so that they can support themselves and be self sufficient.

Last, I don't want someone who is just like me to run my country. I want someone intelligent. I want the valedictorian. My dog is from Great Britain and my daughter is not US born. So combined they have more international experience than Sarah Palin.

So please, don't tell me as a woman I can relate to Sarah Palin. Certainly don't try to convince me as a Christian that I should.

I just saw your piece on CNN and find you and your friends very likeable. And, I agree with you: she probably would be a hoot to have coffee with. I just think you're looking at Sarah Palin through rose colored glasses when it comes to her being v.p. or potentially the pres. The clip you have here of her interview with the Fox reporter doesn't show her in a good light...it makes her sound uninformed and shows how she can't string words together to form a sentence. Good luck to you, just the same.

One thing most aren't even thinking about.

When Obama becomes President and assuming he does 2 terms, that would make him only in his late 50's when he is done.........can you imagine the good international work he and his wife could do after 2 of the most successful Presidential terms in history?.......

Both Barack and Michelle are American treasures and all of us in the world will be blessed with their leadership, compassion and intelligence for many decades to come.(even after his Presidency is over)

Vote Obama/Biden......the rewards will be huge for America and the world.

Nobody needs the hateful nonsense and shallow offerings that are coming from the McCain camp. It's below McCain but if he's that desperate?......sure.....he should go right ahead and make a fool of himself to the whole world (which he's doing right now anyways)

..one more thing......Sarah who?

Anonymous said...

She IS beautiful, she IS charming, she IS feisty... and sure, I think she'd be a great PTA president. But do you REALLY trust this woman in a global crisis? She simply doesn't know enough about the job to be qualified for it.

I interview people all the time and quite often I really LIKE the candidate and lament that I can't hire him/her because s/he isn't qualified for the position.

Same thing here. Not sure how that point can even be questioned!

How can you vote for a candidate that supports late-term killing of babies and abortion? I'm sure your Assemblies of God Church over there certainly doesn't support you in that? That is the BASIC, FUNDAMENTAL difference between Dems and GOPs!!
I'm shocked by your choice!

it's amazing how the republican party has been manipulating the "evangelicals" for years now. all they have to do is appeal to the right wing fundamentalists' racism, homophobia and bigotry and throw in a little rhetoric about abortion and these people flock to the polls and vote against their very own economic interests time and time again.

john mccain's campaign was going nowhere because nobody cared what he had to say. he lost all the support of the christian fundamentalists and women. his advisers saw an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone with this sarah palin pick. they knew it would sucker in the evangelicals and they hoped it would attract some of the angry hillary supporters. the former turned out to be true but, fortunately, the latter never happened. it was a cynical pick and mccain has put the country in a dangerous position.

if the republicans are able to steal another election it will be four more years of the same failed bush policies. the economy will continue to slide and the war will rage on and our brave young men and women will continue to die for halliburton profits. don't worry, though, because palin's son will never be in harm's way. you can bank on that.

i saw the piece on cnn, tami. i know plenty of evangelicals, so i'm not surprised by your blind support of the republican ticket. i'd like to know, however, how it is that you can toss the name of jesus around so much but simultaneously ignore everything he said. how is it that you support a political party that is pro-war, anti-poor, racist, bigoted, and in favor of the rich and the big corporations? how do you (and all evangelicals) deal with the cognitive dissonance?

i saw a great bumper sticker recently that summed up the hypocrisy of the right wing christians in the US. it said "my jesus forgives your republican, war mongering jesus".

It is a good thing when America can have a woman run for VP. However Sarah is in no way qualified for a "VP" position. It is embarassing. Even if her being govenor of Alaska makes her qualified she does not have the knowledge built up for this position. Hiliary, Condaleeza Rice, even Michelle Obama are educated women who are on a different level than Sarah educationally, experience, and professionally. Personally as a woman there is no way I would have a career as demanding as she does and have a four month old special needs child. My time with my child would be top priority because you can't get that time back. If here family was older it would be easier to swallow but she has young children that need their mother's time not money or popularity. I wouldn't surprise me if her other daughter ends up pregnant. Even if Sarah was qualified she supports McCain/Bush and it's obvious more than ever this country can't affort another 4 more years of this disaster. People need to focus on the country's problems first and who is best fit to run instead of looking so heavily that she is a woman. It's obvious most women feel the same way which is why Obama has the lead in every major state.

Hey -

Look, I know there's a lot of vitriol on this comments section right now, and most of it is coming from liberals who are pretty upset about Palin.

However, I'd like you to consider exactly who would coome to a website like this to specifically bash Palin. Do you believe that this is truly a cross section of liberals? Most liberals I know are kind, decent Americans who care about their neighbors and their country.

Please, please, please do not use what you see here to justify a generalized opinion of who "liberals" are. For most of you Moms for Palin, the ones commenting and supporting Tami, that seems to be the only lesson being taken from all of this. And unfortunately, that leads to a continued polarization between Americans who share a common goal - a better America.

Listen: some of these anti-Palin comments are justified, based on her policy and experience. However, many of them are quite hateful, because it takes a certain kind of person to come to someone else site and bash on them. That kind of person is not a liberal or a conservative, and hatred, bigorty, and sexism know no party lines. You're women and mother, and you already know that by now.

Most liberals are decent, hardworking people who belive that we should use governemnt to help those in need. Please try to understand the difference, work and talk with each other in fellowship, and try to sift through the bad posts. There are some good points here, and even among the hate, you will still find the hopeful desire for a better country and a better world . . . it's defintely there.

Are you serious? I can relate to a lot of people and a lot of women but do I think any of them are qualified to be the VP of the US? Of course not. That type of thinking is so elementary and ridiculous. Sarah Palin is by far the dumbest candidate ever chosen in any election. The rest of the world are just mocking us. Women who support Palin simply never got the women's rights movement. SP sets us back at least 100 years.

Dear Tami,

I personally think you're fat and stupid. But this post summed up why I can't support Palin:

It's great that you agree with Palin's values. She seems to be a very a strong woman.

However, let's try to understand what a VP and President do, and what skills they need to do that job well. Understanding the economy is not an option - it's a necessity for a President (or any legislator). Every piece of policy that the government passes and every action the government takes has an economic impact. For example, we send subsidies to farmers every year. This one piece of policy that it supposed to help farmers has effects on the types of crops grown, the quality of food in grocery stores, and the health of our nation.

We live in a complex, integrated society where every action has ramifications in a number of different areas. The relationships and the understand of these various causes and effects is the study of economics.

So, when Palin responds to Couric's question about why we shouldn't give money to homeowners instead of big banks with nonsense, you should be concerned. She wasn't being "set up" - that's a basic question a candidate should answer. It's not so hard to say, "Well, we live in an economy where leverage and debt are tools for growth. If the banks fail, the vehicle for that growth stalls, and we all suffer. So, we need to make sure banks can keep doing their jobs so citizens and small businesses can keep getting the credit they need to stay in business."

This is a GROSS oversimplification, but even it reflects a basic understanding of what is going on. Palin's answer was a bunch of nonsense, meaning she probably doesn't understand even the least bit of economics. This isn't something that can be "left to an adviser" because, again, every government action has economic impacts.

It takes intelligence and judgment to be President. I can't speak to judgment, but it seems she lacks basic intelligence, and, as George Bush showed us, that can be a dangerous thing.

I will not attack the owner of this blog. What I will state, is that we should not want our 'homegirl' or 'homeboy' to be President. We don't need someone we can feel comfortable enough to hang out with. I want someone who is so brilliant, that frankly I'm a little nervous being in their presence.

We need an exceptional leader.

I wish people would get beyond this "I can relate to him/her".

We need the best among us in the White House.

You are a disgusting human being. I can't believe people are stupid enough to like this woman. She's a disgrace. The fact that she was picked to run for VP of anything is an insult to this country. After McCain gets crushed in this election, Palin's career is over and she will be completely unknown.

With all due respect, Sarah Palin is running for VP, but it's McCain who is running for President, and his trend and direction is so similar to Bush's! Even if you're voting for this ticket because of Palin, you're putting McCain in the White House! That will have dire consequences on the country. You're going to bring the USA into the third world, if it isn't already there, thanks to Bush!

I respect that you like Palin, but remember that McCain, who is following Bush's ways, is the one who's going to be sitting in the White House! You can't vote Palin for VP and not McCain for President (would that were possible!).

It is astonishing and even more seriously troubling that such an unqualified person has been labeled a political superstar, and is receiving blind support from women, simply based on her gender and her conservative views. Palin does not have the necessary experience to run a superpower, period. Experience as a small-town mayor, governor of a state with less than a million citizens, and hockey mom does not make a good president. She is completely ignorant regarding foreign policy, as attested by her lack of knowledge regarding the Bush doctrine, and visiting outside of this country's borders only once. Explain how this qualifies one to become the vice-president. It is apparent that your support is based out of religious association and emotional convictions, and you have not fully investigated or researched her political experience. This is exactly who the McCain campaign is targeting in the selection of Palin as VP running mate: the ignorant, the uninformed, and those swayed easily by religious emotional conviction, rather than independent, critical thinking. Wake up, because the McCain campaign is making fools of you.

Greeting from Canada,

I thought that people might be interested in how this is all playing out outside of the US of A. If you're sterotypically insular, then you don't give a shite about what others - particularly your neighbours (yes, I spelled that correctly) from northern Canuckistan think. But hey! Whatever.

You know, the kind of people who read a blog that has music playing in the background is just the kidn of person who would support Palin. "But it's so cute, and real, and we like it" you might argue. Folksy. It's what common folk like.

Problem is that governing the last superpower on the planet deserves much much more than the everyday, Joe sixpack or hockey mom in charge of things.

Joe Sixpack and the avergae hockey mom haven't travelled the world. Just like Palin. They haven't experience other cultures, seen how others live, or even begun to understand that there are other worldviews out there.

Palin is a train wreck in progress. Folksy and common is not what you want. You want (or should aspire to) exemplary, uncommon, elite, better than average.

In choosing Palin, you are quickly becoming the laughing stock of the World. If you should elect her and McCain, that transition will become complete.

I don't expect you to understand or to come around. Self righteousness runs deep and is hard to overcome.

Palin sucks for president. She can't answer a single question correctly and not only that her ideals are so completely misguided. How can she the governor of Alaska for 20 months deal with a country that is so widely diverse?

For all you women who support Sarah Palin because you can "identify" with her in some way, I have one thing to ask: Is that simple fact of identification reason enough to place her in the VP role? Humans notice similarities in lots of different people - scientists, artists, writers, leaders of all types - but very very few of those people are truly qualified to lead a country. Remember that Palin was elected by about 120,000 people in Alaska in 2006. That's fewer people than select mayors in the top 40 cities or so. While number of votes and/or margin is not by itself a reason to reject Palin's legitimacy, I really wonder if her 'bright shiny starlet' status is not due to her relative anonymity. Come on, people. What about Troopergate or her support for shooting bears from airplanes? Have you investigated the woman beyond her sound bites and her 'mother, apple pie' image?

I am not a democrat. I am registered as an independent. What baffles me about the image I saw on CNN this evening is that I have yet to see someone like me (Black Born-Christian mom) speak positively about Palin. While all this talk of isms comes up, sexism and racism has been rampant in this race, particularly racism in the last few weeks. Candidly, I, as a Christian mother, am disappointed in Palin. I have watched the media throughout this campaign. I don't agree with using footage from church against her. I also don't agree with her hypocritically citing so called associations when she has some that are just as questionable (secession?). Let's not be the pot calling the kettle black. She doesn't represent me and if she walked into my house, as long as we discussed spiritual or family matters we'd be fine. Politics would be another thing. Finally, I don't back anyone who calls themselves a Christian but is so free to tote a gun like a toy. People use guns to kill. I have lost people I love due to gun violence. I find the pic of her with the gun rather offensive and disturbing. Lastly, let it be known that I didn't jump on the Obama wagon because he's black. I have chosen to vote for him because he has a clear vision. I still have no idea what McCain and Palin are planning to do besides sling a lot of mud. God bless you my sister in Christ. It needs to be known that not all Christians, conservative ones at that, are like this. I wish there were more of a diverse representation. To this day evangelicals are represented to look like you and Palin. It completely leaves those like me out. Go figure. Oh well, I'm always for Christ first.

I am definitely a Democrate, but I have nothing against her except her views and political approach. I think most Americans want someone who has personality, strength etc like Sarah Palin but education and experience is also needed. I cannot believe individuals with only a Bachelors Degree can be Vice President or President. Do we not need someone with exceptional intelligence, education and experience? Our presidential elections have become a popularity contest. A sad day indeed when that is all that people are looking for in a candidate.

i just caught the tail-end of your snippet on CNN and was shocked by your ignorance. As you were showing the news anchor the nasty comments some people are leaving on the blog, you viewed a comment in which someone refers to Sarah as an "animal killer." You acknowledged this by saying, "they called her an animal killer," as to say these accusations are false. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Sarah Palin is an animal killer, directly or indirectly through hunting, fishing, and her issues of $150 bounties on wolves. Lovely.

As a woman, I am offended on a multitude of levels by this woman's actions. I cannot believe that people feel she will be a key person in turning this country around. Her lack of experience, and even worse, lack of knowledge she has acquired thus far as an "outsider" is astounding.

I am an Obama supporter and I don't believe that Sarah Palin is ready to be President (as it would be a possibility). That being said, I will say that people need to be more respectful when we talk to each other. I am amazed at the horrible things people are saying on your blog and I apologize to you for it. No matter what our differences are, there is no excuse for name calling or any of the horrible insults. Until this country can have respect for our differences, we will all be worse off.
One thing you said during the CNN interview I wanted to comment on: the polls and the silent factor. I haven't been polled either. I think sometimes we can become so insular in our worlds that we lose the fact that there are so many different people and experiences out there. This is one of the reasons Gov. Palin concerns me. The fact that she hasn't traveled the world means she hasn't seen other realities of the world around us. This is a factor that I believe is vitally important for our leaders because it gives them empathy and a broad view. In the global economy today, we need leaders who are not ethnocentric.
Good luck with the blog and again, sorry that so many people find it okay to spew hatred. I don't believe it is okay from anyone - it only breeds more of the same.

In 1952 democratic presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson, facing an uphill battle against war hero Dwight Eisenhower, was told by a supporter that "all the thinking people" were behind him. Famously, he replied "Yes, but I need a majority". Based on the latest polls, it appears that for once a majority of Americans are really thinking hard about this election, instead of being swept away by the inane comments coming from Sarah Palin. The idea of putting such an appallingly unqualified person a heartbeat away from the presidency would be positively laughable, if it wasn't so dangerous. You people are truly delusional.

thank you for your site. It's time for someone who remembers what it's like to be a real person. thank you Tami, and thank you Sarah Palin.

I respect how much you like Palin, but she's running for VP, not President. You vote for her, you're also voting for McCain, whose policies and decisions mirror that of the current President, Bush. Bush has taken the U.S. on the way to becoming a 3rd world country, if it's not already one. McCain will just continue that. By supporting Palin, you're also supporting McCain, who will just be continuing Bush's ways. Bush's policies have destroyed the standing of the US in the world. We should stop that. Remember, it's not Palin who is going to be in the White House, but McCain. McCain is using Palin's likability factor to get himself in there, and once that's done, who knows how he'll treat her?

A vote for Palin is a vote for McCain. You can't vote for Palin and not for McCain (would that were possible!)

If you people also voted for Bush in the past elections, then you have only yourselves to blame for the state the US is in! You'd better check your decision making processes for this election. You could be making the same mistake you did before. Think hard, because your current choice might bring on more of the same problems.

I'm not a mom but I LOVE what you are doing!! I'm 25 and a registered Republican and I know that everyone is just trying to make Sarah Palin look and sound stupid, and she is far from it! All the Democrats are just grasping at straws and smears but cry foul when we do it back. I'm glad you were featured on AC360!! I told my friends about this blog!!

What's the scariest thing in the world? Frightened white people because they do things like start the Klan, Sons of the Confederate and the John Birch society.

You guys are out of touch with the world.

I saw your feature on CNN. I admire your group's dedication, but I have to admit I can't understand the devotion. I guess I am just one of the people who "don't get it", as you mentioned in the piece on CNN, and I'll just come right out and say it -- "I don't understand the appeal of Sarah Palin."

I have voted republican in every presidential election since 1984, the first year I could vote, but McCain's selection of Sarah Palin has cost him my vote. Why? Winks, nods and "shout outs" to third graders are fine if you are running for mayor, but not Vice President. "Doggone it" and "you betcha" are fine if you are running for town council, but not Vice President. Policies in Alaska allowing the shooting of wolves from aircraft are inhumane, not Vice Presidential. Pushing for drilling in national reserves endangers the planet and don't offer a viable long-term solution. Outright avoidance of questions in debates shows lack of comfort with the questions, rather than a "maverick" attitude. I could go on, but I won't.

Sure, she could walk in the house and have snacks and feel at home. I am sure she is very personable. But we are not voting to find a new friend. We are voting for someone who could potentially be the leader of the free world, should McCain win and be unable to serve out his term.

Folksy charm is fine, and if I could see some substance behind it, I might feel differently. But I could stand up at a podium and say "We need to cut taxes. We need to get America going in the right direction. Is John McCain the guy to do it? You betcha!" I could follow that with a smile and a nod and a wink, but it would not qualify me to be VP, and it doesn't qualify her.

I can't help but see past the veneer and see there is nothing there, but again, as I mentioned above, I guess I'm just one of the folks who "doesn't get it."

Tami,
you are a true testament of the reason McCain/Palin is such a joke - a media hoax and now an --- "oh she can relate to us, have snacks with us, come sit in my living room and hang out with us" popularity contest. Wake up lady - she should do none of the above, she would need to be ready to Lead the Free World, and the shambles we are in. If she is such a pit bull with lipstick hockey mom - she should do what she does best, smile, wink and be cute with her constituents in AK, and take her kids to hockey practice.

We need a leader Tami - not the next "most popular mom for our little group in Florida." You are living in a bubble down there. Just keep having your meetings and enjoy your snacks and leave running the country to someone else.

At 55, and someone who has believed in the ideals of this country, has pursued an education, has worked hard in a variety of industries, who respects the value of rationality, and the purpose of the common good, I cannot celebrate enough the number of people who have come here and have noted that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be President.

She is a disappointment. She is capable of pure hatred. She will not further the nation.

If she and Mr. McCain are elected, I am deeply fearful for our future.

Why all the anger from some of these posts??
What ever! Life is too short people, relax....I like Sarah Palin. So do a lot of people. I don't hate Senator Biden...just prefer Palin and the republicans.
Hope we can all just get along..:)

I am not surprised, McCain promises, McCain proposes, McCain says we are going to benefit, but as with Bush, we would get handed the bill once again. We end up sitting home having to eat our $1 banquet frozen tv dinners while the McCains sit at home having dom, beluga caviar, and belinis for dinner, but the question is, which home, you know at last count there were I think 8. While they fret over whether their 2008 jag needs to be traded in for a 2009 we are worried if we can eat tommorow.
Shame on them.

What can you expect from John "no neck" McCain and Sarah "the church lady" Palin.

Sarah Palin is an insult to the intelligence of the American People. Were it only that she's incredibly shallow and vapid, it would be bad enough, but the worst part of her is the uncanny ability to lie enthusiastically and consistently.

We voted for G W Bush, why not Palin too? Every idiot with an idealogy ought to be President.

Dear John,

I know that this letter probably comes to you at a bad time. However, I cannot stand it any longer and I have to tell you honestly how I feel.

You see, 8 years ago I truly loved you. Our relationship was filled with happy, happy times. You were a man of integrity and I was proud to be in a relationship with you. I used to brag about you to all my friends. You stood up for what you believed in, you told it like it was and you were often the only voice of reason in a sea of shouting fools. Even if it wasn’t popular, you stood up for what you believed was right.

But John, you’ve changed over the last several years. Your honesty has been replaced by deceit and lies; your integrity has been replaced by flat out pandering. You have become all of the things you used to stand so firmly against. You’ve even surrounded yourself with the very same people you used to despise. I just don’t feel I can trust you any more.

Now I know that this campaign has taken its toll on you. I can see the anger on your face. I can hear the frustration in your voice. You’ve tried very hard to make an impression with people, but you’ve lied so much it’s hard to believe you any more.

So John, I’m leaving you and yes for a younger man. (I’m sure you appreciate the irony of this.) My new guy actually reminds me a lot of the way you used to be. In the face of lies and half-truths, he stands and withstands the storm. In addition to that, he has a real vision for the future. Plus, the kids love him and I think he will provide a much brighter future for them.

So John, I hope there are no hard feelings between us. I just feel that it is best for both of us if we just part ways now.

Perhaps in time we can become friends again. (If you ever come to your senses)

Sincerely, Amer I Can

I honor you for maintaining this blog, and respect you for voicing your opinions.

But you haven't been able to express and pro-Palin statements in this entire blog besides "she's a strong woman" or "she's like me" or "she's religious", so let's address them all.

1) strong woman:

I do not see this at all as everything she is saying she is being spoon-fed by the campaign. This is ev ident because she says the same exact things word-for-word on her stump.

2) she's like me:

OK if that makes you comfortable. Does that mean you think YOU are qualified to be VP? In my opinion we've had that guy in office for the last 8 years - the guy that Americans can "relate to" and "wanna grab a beer with." I don't think we need any more of this.

3) she's religious:

I am religious too. However I do not believe in legislating religious ideals, forcing my beliefs on everyone by law. That is un-American.

Let me finish by saying that I love this site. The negative comments have reaffirmed my belief in the intelligence of America. America got hoodwinked with Bush, and I thought we were headed down that "forget the issues, vote for me cuz I'm like you" road again.

Usually I do not vote for people because of their party affiliation, I vote for the best candidate no matter what the party. This being said Sarah Palin is impressive, she is intelligent, but has been put into an impossible situation. McCain chose Palin thinking he was going to get the votes of women who were unhappy with the Democratic nomination choice of Obama instead of Clinton. Well that was a slap in the face of many intelligent and educated women. Sarah Palin may be the perfect candidate for the future but today alongside of McCain is not the appropriate time.

Oh my goodness, where do I even start. I saw your CNN interview tonight & you ladies came across as extremely ignorant, out of touch neocons. Who blindly support a woman that is George Bush Jr. with a vagina. Did you see the Katie Couric & Charlie Gibson interviews with this woman?!!

She couldn't even answer the most basic of questions & you honestly believe she is fit to be the VP?!! Unfreaking believable. Oh let me guess, that was just the liberal media picking on her. They should have never threw those nasty trick questions at her.

Question like "Hey Sarah, what magazines do you read?" or "Other than Alaska being so close to Russia, what other foerign policy experience do you actually have to offer this country?" You people need mental help. God is not on your side or Sarah Palins. And when she & Johnny boy lose in November,it will be my pleasure to come back here & remind you of that.

Hi Ladies. I've been an independant voter since 1995. I have spent the last few month going over all the facts and policy positions.

I must admit, when Palin first came on the scene, I was intrigued. However, I still can't wrap my mind around how hypocritical it is to call yourself "Pro-life", then turn around and shoot one of gods creations in the head. I feel that she may be confused on what Pro-life truely stands for.

In my humble opinion the only real "Pro-Lifers" are the people that are tree hugging, Vegan eating, animal activist. We live in America and we should be grateful that we can have a choice to agree or disagree on these issues, but lets be realistic here.

Good job! Sarah is really something!! She could even be president. she will be in a position to address the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. Since she is a Christian, I am sure she will lift up a concern for the Palestinian Christians who are being oppressed and marginalized by Israeli and the IDF. I am especially concerned about the Lutherans in the West Bank, and the Roman Catholics and the Orthodox. But, especially I expect her to get involved in the concern about the growth of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and the concern over the Israeli demolition of Palestinian homes.

Being that this is about Moms and Sarah is a Mom extraodinaire, I expect that things will really improve in the Middle East. Sarah is the person to address the difficulty of Hamas winning the election; Hezbollah in Lebanon; the threat of Iran and their new found influence in Iraq. But, beyond that, she is well equipped to address the growing crisis in Afghanistan and the threat presented by the Taliban going back and forth between Afghanstan and Pakistan. sarah is the one, sensitive to the trauma experienced by Palestinian children and the citizens of Israel. Good job, forward the cause of liberating Israelis and Palestinians from the oppression of eternal conflict. Sarah will fix it!! Good Show!! Good show Moms 4 Sarah Palin who are equally qualified to take on the foreign affairs challenges that we face today.

Here's a thought... I've read several posts criticizing Tami and the fact that she lives in a nice house. Last I checked the American Dream was alive and well - why must we demonize those who work hard, make an honest living and are capable of supporting their families? Don't we need more of these individuals who make their mortgage payments, live within their means and are still thriving? Why is that such a bad thing?

How exciting to see your interview tonight with all the beautiful women from your Bible study! As a Christian mom, wife, daughter and commercial litigator for Fortune 500 companies, I was thrilled to see CNN finally reporting on something worthwhile . . . thank you for sharing yourselves with America, your love for Christ, and your support for an inspiring leader, Sarah Palin. God bless America!

I just saw your interview on CNN and couldn't agree with you more! Way to go on this blog!

I too was inspired when McCain chose Palin as his running mate, it energized me in a way I could not have imagined.

I have been reading many posts that people think she is "unqualified" to be VP...what in the heck makes Obama qualified to be the President!!!! Just because he went to an Ivy league school and is a lawyer makes him qualified?? Good grief ~ look where all the lawyers (whom most Congressional people are) have gotten us in Washington.

There is no doubt Palin was being over coached in the weeks after her nomination and during the interview she did with Couric ~ my goodness, you don't become the Governor of a state without reading a newspaper or magazine, she just needed to be herself and boy did she do that in the debate! She was well prepared, polished, confident and held her own with Biden all while over 70 million people watched. For all of you out there regardless of your political affiliation that is a feat in itself for any seasoned political person.

I too have been disgusted with the elitist media (someone previously posed that elitism is good...what planet do you live on??) I was so enraged after her debate with Biden that I wrote a letter to editor and have attached it here.

It was printed in the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper on October 4th...here it is.

Letters to the editor for Saturday, Oct. 4
Last update: October 4, 2008 - 10:42 PM
Stop with the snide, personal attacks
I've had enough with the personal attacks on Gov. Sarah Palin by the liberal elitist media. It is one thing to respectfully disagree with someone on policy issues, but to continually attack a person for whom they are is demeaning, degrading and patronizing. I am a "soccer mom," and belittling, snide attacks on her no doubt are cast over us heartland moms as well.

Keep up the good work and no matter how this election ends this is not the last we will see of Gov Palin!

I understand Sarah Palin's personal appeal, but I don't think she was the right choice for VP. And I think it's disconcerting that intelligent and thoughtful conservative minds like George Will, Charles Krauthammer, and David Brooks are derided as snobs or "intellectuals" for daring to question her as the VP choice. Many in the Republican Party seem to have adopted this dangerous faux populism that embraces ignorance as a positive sign that someone is "just like us." I'm sorry, but I don't want our national leaders to be "just like us." We live in particularly perilous and complicated times, and there is more than a slim chance that Sarah Palin could be put in a position where she would have to make very delicate decisions regarding nuclear diplomacy, global economics, or the use of force. Those types of decisions don't call for Joe Six Packs. They call for individuals who are, frankly, far more intelligent, well-read, and prone to critical thought than the average person. That's not snobbery, it's just plain honesty.

You wanted your 15 minutes of fame and you got it and it will be over soon. If you are trying to get a job, good luck with that sweetheart, because she will not remember you. You, your friends and Sarah Palin are a disgrace to women.

So I called my friends in Canada after the debate and asked them who should I vote for. Their response,
...”are you crazy eh? McCain is the same-old, same-old and Palin is a trick”.

Then I called my friends in Mexico and they said;
”Jesus Christo. Are you loco? McCain will keep your country in war and Palin is a smoke screen to appeal to people who only vote the color of their skin.”

Then I called my friends in Jamaica and they said;
”Hey mon, I just smoked a giant bud and I'm stoned out of my mind yet I still smarter than the majority of American people. And what's with Palin. What a joke.”

Then I called my friends in England and they said:
”It's getting harder and harder for us to support the policies of the American government because you guys keep electing idiots. Can't people see that Palin is on the ticket to pander to women?”

The world has spoken.

Anyone who claims that Palin doesn't have the experience to be VP had better look at their own candidate for president. Mr. Obama has even less experience than her and you want him to run our country? I guess you all were relieved when he pick Biden. At least he has some experience.

Palin is a real person that loves this country and wants to be a part of running it. Can those of you complaining do better? How can you be so positive Mr. Obama can?

While I can respect your beliefs in religion I have to question your decision to support someone who lies for the benefit of gaining a position. Are these the kind of values that you and your group want to your children to model? While I am not saying that either party is perfect. How can you support a man who left his first wife who was handicapped for a younger woman? A woman who says she is a Christian yet lies on stage and lies regarding issues in her own state?

These are not the kinds of values we should be teaching the children. This is about their future not ours. Shame on you and your group.

First of all, I would like to commend you on your courage, you could very well block every comment that you don't agree with, so I do believe that you are a reasonable person. I don't agree with anything that Governer Palin stands for politically, so I can understand if that's how you feel about Senator Obama. But I do recognize and respect that Ms Palin is courageous to want to help lead this country in this time of peril (and there is plenty of blame to go around for both parties for the economic mess we're in ma'am!) and that she is to be respected for her family- oriented values, although you don't seem to see it that way when it comes to Obama, for that, I'm sad, as a Christian, that you don't even attempt to find the good in another human being, let alone a person who may well be the leader of this country, but that is your issue to deal with. Where you are being unfair is in your guilt by association rationale regarding Obama and Ayers. That charge can be leveled at the candidates that you support as well such as the Governer being under investigation in Alaska, the seccessonist video that was recently released, and the Keating 5 scandal. The difference is that the examples I listed are facts, not assumptions, or wishful thinking and I think you know that. I implore you to rise above that kind of baseless fear- mongering because it may be more detrimental in the end to your candidate than to Mr. Obama and even more importantly to this country, which I served in the US Army for. In a few short weeks, no matter the outcome of this election, we have to live in this country together so this may be the time to realize what have in common instead of putting all our energy into being devisive. I also take great comfort in knowing that on Nov 4th, my vote and those of my friends who will be voting for Obama in the state of Florida will cancel out your votes for McCain. Peace and Blessings!

I'm with Tami on this one. Go girl! I'm proud to be a right-to-life, anti-gay marriage, Christian conservative Republican who voted for George W. Bush both terms. It is his kind of decisive, shoot from the hip leadership that exudes from Sarah. McCain was wise in putting her and her hometown, American values on the ticket. The only thing I am worried about is if McCain becomes president and doesn't make it and she is thrust into a position to make decisions that affect my life and that of my children. You might want a person that has a bit more experience than as governor of a state for a couple years. On second thought, if President Bush can do it, Sarah can. I mean, under His watch, we turned out just fine.

Wait a minute....

Hi Tami,

But I am asking you as one Christian to another to please close the comments for this web page. This is definitely not helping Sarah in any way, shape or form. ALl this does is show that the majority of people on the internet do not approve of her in the Vice President role. If we want her to win, please help her by being silent.

Thanks for listening,

SARAH PALIN NEEDS TO GO HOME AND GET HER OWN HOUSE IN ORDER BEFORE SHE VIES FOR THE BIG HOUSE........Helloooo!! Anybody out there, this is for those that are not in Lala Land? As a Canadian watching all that is happening in the USA political arena, I find it unbelievable what is going on. I am actually stupified. I can't believe that McCain would pick Sarah Palin to be his running mate for VP. This woman cannot even speak proper English, without a teleprompter and a scripted speech let alone run a country and yet she is the "chosen one" out of three hundred million people to possibly become the next PRESIDENT of the United States?? Was she all that was left in the gene pool? My daughter is an English teacher and watched Sarah Palin speaking and almost fell on the floor laughing hysterically. Please assure me that the people of the United States of America are far more intelligent than that and don't actually think she is qualified to be VP never mind being the President of the United States of America!

She spews out more inacurrate stuff from her mouth that she is the one that sounds like a terrorist or one that you should be TERRIFIED OF.

Good Christian's, Moms 4 Sarah Palin should check out the internet more often, for example you tube, Rev. or Pastor or Mr. he goes by so many names but try Pastor Muthee who laid hands on Sarah Palin to bring her finances, and the Govenor's job!! Oh, by the way he is also a witch hunter but was approved by Sarah Palin and her church to preach there.

You will actually see her standing on stage with him as he prays over her. She gives him all the credit for her being Govenor of Alaska. (scarey stuff).

And also be aware that her husband Todd Palin belonged to the Alaskan Independence Party from 1995 to 2002, Joe Vogler was the presidet of that party. This is a party that advocates for Alaska SECESSION from the United States. Sarah has a long association with the AIP and attended several of their party conventions. This is a party that wanted to rip one of the stars off the flag and become an independent country. If you don't beleive me, please stop praying as a group and get off the sofa and feel free to check out the internet. Maybe you girls for "Sarah" should do this more often and then you would be far more informed on what is really happening in your world.

And by the way Sarah Palin has no idea what the second amendment is about. She has no idea what the world is about. She is all about winking, flirting, being a cutsie pie, changing the topic to one that has been programmed in her brain and that she could possibly answer, programmed by the McCain camp, good grief, hockey Mom, Ya betcha, doggon it and the list is never ending. Yep that is who I would like to see be the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This is the only time I would like to be an American so I could vote with some logic as you girls certainly don't have any. And I am sure there are more out there like you....very scarey thought.

McCain's camp won't let her be interviewed by anyone but Fox news and Greta Van Sustern. Hmm I wonder why????????

God help us all, especially the American people who see through it all.

I just watched the replay of the CNN interview. No one should attempt to silence you for standing up for your beliefs even though I do not agree with them. I have no interest in trashing Sarah Palin or any other candidate... the internet already has far more of that then necessary. However, I really felt compelled to address one issue you raised.
You seem to think that women will support Sarah Palin regardless of her espoused beliefs simply because she is tenacious and the first serious woman candidate for the office of Vice President. Personally, I find that conjecture rather insulting to the overall intelligence of women. While I can be certain there will be those few women that could be that shallow, any intelligent, free thinking woman would never even consider voting for Sarah Palin if they hold opposing views or as some sort of Hilliary Clinton replacement! I feel that ANY person that would vote for a person simply based on their race or sex, or even Party affiliation has failed to use the intelligence given them by God.
Unfortunately, in my 30 plus years of voting, I have never been so discouraged by the choices we have been given. While I was never very impressed with Obama, I just cannot see how this country can survive four more years of Bush43 policies. Personally, I feel it is well past time to dump the so-called, two party system and find more talented people to serve us.

I can't wait to have a woman in the White House either however it needs to be one intelligent wiht a respected education and intelligent mind. That is definitely not Sarah. I would take Hiliary, Condaleeza Rice, for God Sake Michelle Obama with her wisdom intelligence, professionalism and classy style.

No sweetie we are not intimidated by Sarah. It definitely wouldn't be due to her intelligence or education. I would love to have a woman in the White House but one is deserves it, not someone like Sarah. Please put Hiliary, Condaleeza Rice, Michelle Obama. At least Michelle has the best education, great experience, professional and most of all intelligent. I represent intelligent educated women. Not one to embarrass this country. That's why she is alway's made fun of. Why can't you see that. Sarah knows how to memorize well but she is in no way intelligent.
