Some Great Sunday Afternoon Reading

I wanted to share with you a WONDERFULLY written article by Sandy Rios, entitled

Rios points out how precious those babies born with Down Syndrome are, speaking of a boy named 'Johnny': "the Johnny's of the world teach us to endure with perseverance, build character and allow for a love that wells up from a place too deep for words to describe."

Many in the mainstream media and on the left have criticized Todd and Sarah Palin for their "choice" in giving birth to their precious son Trig.

"The power of the powerless; the ability of the helpless or infirm to reveal not their infirmity, but the character of those around them."

We have a clear choice to make on November 4th. We have two very different opinions being represented: one, on the side of life. John McCain and Sarah Palin have a clear and consistent record on the pro-life issue. Their opponents have a clear and consistent record also, which sides with those choosing to take life, thus calling themselves pro-choice.

The record is clear, and the decision rests with you and I, the voter.

Mrs. Ruiz, There are always going to be those who wish to sway you from the truth. You have to search the truth for yourself, whether it is here or other places. You want a socialist in the White House? You think we have problems now, you just wait. We've seen nothing yet. Hang in there, you know what the right thing to do is. This is the very reason I have suggested getting involved...it enables you to learn, to seek information for yourself, to THINK for yourself. You have the freedom to vote how you wish, but do so knowing you sought the FACTS.

For instance, Barack Obama has released an ad in Florida telling the elderly that McCain is in favor of privatizing social security, that he wants to gamble with senior citizens' life savings, and that he would cut Social Security benefits in half. ("Obama Distorts McCain Social Security Stances," Washington Post, 9/23/08)
This is a lie.

The Washington Post has called Senator Obama's claim s a gross distortion of John McCain's position on Social Security.("Obama Distorts McCain Social Security Stances," Washington Post, 9/23/08)
Fact-Check.org characterized Senator Obama's accusations as "not true," "simply false" and "highly distorted." (Brooks Jackson, "Obama's Social Security Whopper," FactCheck.org, www.factcheck.org, 9/20/08)

John McCain has committed to solving our nation's entitlement challenges in a manner that protects our commitment to America's seniors and retirees. John McCain will fight to save the future of Social Security, and he believes that we may meet our obligations to the retirees of today and the future without raising taxes. John McCain supports supplementing the current Social Secur ity system with personal accounts - but not as a substitute for addressing benefit promises that cannot be kept.

John McCain will reach across the aisle to address these challenges, but if the Democrats do not act, he will. No problem is in more need of honesty than the looming financial challenges of entitlement programs. Americans have the right to know the truth and John McCain will not leave office without fixing the problems that threaten our future prosperity and power.

Examples such as this should give u a clear message. You can read comments here that should give you a clear message. They will stop at nothing to stop McCain/Palin even if they have to make everything up. I believe we are in for a repeat of 2000.

I suggest you seek the truth for yourself. Try to block out all the junk--Lord knows there's a lot of it out there--and just look at the issues.

Mrs. Ruiz,
You are believing Rolling Stone? Really?
With all due respect, if you are going to change your mind, you certainly have the right to do so, but at least get your facts from someplace besides the Rolling Stone. You are just the person they are trying to reach with their lies.
