From The Perspective of A 19-Year Old

From Rachel in VA: I am very, very frustrated. Do people not think at all before they open their mouths? I think that actors and actresses should stick to what they do best...ACTING!!!! When they open their mouths, it seems like all that comes out is stupidity. They need to really get a grip on real life. It is a good thing that they have scripts written for them that they have to memorize. Let's face it, most of them don't have much else going for them.

I was on the myspace homepage, and there was this article. The headline itself made me curious, so I read it. After just reading the first two lines I was infuriated. Why do they think they have the right to trash-talk someone who is trying to serve our country and help America out, the best they know how? Especially when they are all high on drugs, drunk, and just complete morons half the time. I am just really mad.

These are people whose movies I enjoyed. Anymore, I can't believe I ever watched anything they were a part of. It angers me to see such disrespect. What are they doing that is making them so great? I don't get it. You know, no matter who gets elected, I will respect them and support them, because they are placed over me. but I just don't understand why other people have to bash the ones who are just trying to do what they know is right. IDIOTS!!!!!! GO SARAH!

*****************
This gives the perspective of a 19 year old who wrote me, furious with the idiocy being demonstrated in Hollywood-as if we care what they think. I think we underestimate the importance of this age group in an election such as this, most noteably CONSERVATIVE young people!  Rachel, thank you for taking a stand. I admire you for your passion...use this passion to ignite the fire in other young people to get out and vote on November 4th!

Thank you for sifting through the garbage on the media. I am from wasilla, Alaska and so much is unfair. Thanks for seeing the TRUTH.

I could never vote for someone who condones the cruel slaughter of wolves by airplanes. It is not necessary.

It is unfair to say actors should keep their mouths shut. When you are a citizen, you have a Constitutional Right to voice your opinion. You do not have to agree with them, yet this is America, not Russia.

I do not agree with your words, but I will defend your right to say them.

I noticed that NO ONE replies to your blogs, so I figured no one cares. And I can see how. You are a severely closed-minded bitter woman.

From your own blog:

"I haven’t spent much time here talking about our opponent, I haven’t felt it necessary. I find it more important that we educate ourselves on where McCain/Palin stand on the issues."

Well then you shouldnt vote. You obviously dont take the time to weigh both sides. Your site is does nothing but set back the womens movement by about 40 years. you want to make a woman a vice-president so badly, you want to put an inexperienced one in there.

And you made "rachel" up. It is your writing. You should be ashamed.

Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air, just what this country needs. She's an inspiring leader, willing to join at the front lines of abortion center protests, not just giving lip service. She fights the good fight in telling women all across American that she can decide what's best for them. Huzzah Sarah Palin!

Exactly! What makes the people in Hollyweird think they are above us everyday folks? I don't get it and I certainly don't like it. I refuse to go to the movies anymore.

Thanks for running this website. We need to get the word out about this wonderful and everyday woman.

Go Sarah!

Here is a point for you Tami. If Palin wants to play hardball she should expect the hard questions. She has ZERO foriegn policy experience and thinks the war in Iraq is god's work. McCain chose her to try and get the angry Hilary voters, and geuss what, it didn't work. Some people can be fooled but you can't fool all the people all the time. The chief republican liar, Karl Rove, even says the McCain campaign has gone too far.
When Palin's water broke she endangered her child's life by taking an 8 hour flight home to alaska, because that is where she wanted to give birth. A doctor would have told her how dangerous that is but she would not have cared.
Less than 2 months ago Palin stated that she did not know or understand the responsibilities of a VP. It has been confirmed that McCain wanted to choose Lieberman and was told that he would lose the base by doing so. So he then chose Gov. Pawlenty, as evidenced by Pawlenty canceling all appointments for the week and making arrangements to go to where McCain was announcing his VP. Then Obama made his acceptance sppech, and it was so grand the McCain had an angry knee jerk reaction and picked someone who could solidify his base, someone who he had not vetted and had only met one time. McCain puts this country in danger by naming Palin as a VP. Palin might be a great mom, a great (if possibly corrupt) governor, but she should not be one heartbeat away from leading this country.
And the earmark will be a problem. McCain still says she did not take any when it has been confirmed as FACT that she took for than ANY OTHER STATE. ANd Palin continues to lie about the bridge to nowhere. She supported it, took the money, then kept the money AFTER it was canceled. She has a history of only supporting friends and using her power to attack and harm thos that she dislikes.
Voting for McCain/Palin is voting to doom this country to the void. If you don't like Obama, that's fine, but at least vote for someone who won't destroy this county.

You people are so close minded, just because she is a woman and mother you believe she is the best for this job. The woman constantly contraindicts herself and has no family values contrary to what she says. You have a newborn child with special needs and you are willing to take a job that will prevent you from spending the time with your kids that is needed? She is pro life and doesnt believe that a woman who has been raped and subsequently inpregnated should be able to terminate such an abomination. She is against creating stem cells which could potentially cure many diseases because she does not believe in destroying life yet she's and admittedly avid member of the NRA and praises her states' love of hunting. It's great that you all have someone to identify with in the election but that does not make her the best choice to run an entire country. Twenty percent of our Vice President's have ended up becoming our President. If Hillary would have won the Democratic nomination then McCain would have chose a black running mate instead, it's all about scooping up the votes of one-track minded people like yourselves. Last time I checked "Hockey Mom" was not a better qualification than say someone with a PHD. Focus on the facts people and let's fix this country already. We don't need a face for the people we need a voice and decision maker.

To Missy: If you have kept up with the postings of this blog you would know that Tami does weigh both sides. This blog was created to support Sarah Palin which of course included supporting Senator McCain. I don't think you know Tami personally either or you would never have called her a liar.

To Tami: Keep up the good work! Remember that your friends and supporters know your heart. I'm glad that you are allowing others to post their thoughts and support for Sarah Palin.

My response to those that chose to make comments is to refrain from name calling. It is not necessary.

i tell you what, you libs must be insane to be attacking tami nantz like you have. i would go on about my disgust for you and your actions but something tells me it may fall on deaf ears... there is no rationalizing with you - and it is evidence of your insecurity in your own candidate that you must smear and denigrate our candidate to try to get your point across... pitiful.

"We don't need a face for the people we need a voice and decision maker." and that would be...?? you are so delusional. obama is a rambling orator at BEST and changes his stance on the issues according to his audience. spineless.

"She has a history of only supporting friends and using her power to attack and harm thos that she dislikes." seriously??? literally laughing at you right now...

these are the same people who defended the most corrupt, amoral politician of our time, william jefferson clinton... you just can't take them seriously.

"I noticed that NO ONE replies to your blogs, so I figured no one cares. And I can see how. You are a severely closed-minded bitter woman."

oh missy, my dear, you could not BE more wrong about tami. about everything. pitiful. we DO care and you WILL feel the repercussions of it on nov. 4th... you just wait...

Regarding the blogger's question, what gives actors the right to express their opinions, it would be the first amendment that gives them that right. Even they are still guaranteed that right. Maybe you think if McCain is elected that he could take away that right? Is that part of your vision of a perfect America? People who disagree with you will be silenced? Democrats have more celebrities that agree with our party. Is that is what is upsetting your 19 year old heart? Did the Jonas brothers endorse Obama or something? Which celebrity that you used to admire produced such hatred in your heart? You do realize that this is still AMERICA where we are BORN with RIGHTS, one of which is the RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH, regardless of whether you are a celebrity or a homeless guy. Quit whining. Celebrities can say whatever stupid stuff they want and Americans can agree with it, disagree with it, or not even care that it's being said.

To Missy: About your comment saying that "Rachel doesn't exist that it is just Tami", you couldn't be more wrong. Stop and think about it. This is Tami's blog site. Why would she post something for people to read by using another name? I am the one who sent this to her. I am Rachel. Furthermore, this website is entitled moms4sarahpalin. It is here to educate people on this lady. If it were to educate pople on Obama, it would have his name in the title. If you don't like Tami providing people with information on Sarah Palin and not Obama, why don't you just start your own blog for him?

To Elizabeth: It is not so much people's freedom of speech I have a problem with, as much as it is the way they bash people whom 1.) they probably don't know much about and 2.) when they have enouh of their own flaws that they need to stop and think about. I don't care who celebrities are for, that is their own choice. Sometmes though, they need to just stop and think about their own lives before they bash someone elses. Also, as far as your little "Jonas brothers" comment. I don't even really know who they are. I just find it very disrespectful the way that some of them are talking about the candidates.

"Celebrities can say whatever stupid stuff they want and Americans can agree with it, disagree with it, or not even care that it's being said."

you're right elizabeth - but it's funny that you liberals feel the need to seek out conservative blogs just for the purpose of attacking us & our candidates... you have the right, absolutely, but i have never once sought out an obama blog to persecute those who agree with HIM. why must you do that? a little too defensive, hmm? and doesn't matt damon have a site? bill maher maybe?

FIND IT.

Proof that we get under your skin, libs...
That you're wasting your pathetic lives reading here. Go someplace else where you're wanted and welcome. You aren't looking for answers, you're looking to silence our freedom to speak.
