The Blame Game Begins

Well, folks, the blame game has begun, just as we predicted. Rather than repeat it here, refer to this link for more details. The gutless, "unnamed" sources have emerged. Here's another link that explains it further, along with this link.

I hope Senator McCain will denounce this as eagerly as he has denounced many less important things during the campaign. It will be interesting to see how things unfold, but I feel pretty sure it will be a war of the moderates vs. the conservatives in this party--especially since conservatives appear to have turned on McCain and voted Obama by a pretty large margin.

I am anxious to see Governor Palin's first on-camera interview where she is able to talk freely and defend herself without her handlers telling her what to do. I feel certain her side of the story is quite different--my suspicion is that she stood up to the gutless moderates who were trying to censor her, or, truth be told, make her look bad.

It's okay...it's over. Let's move on, and hope they can too. Sarah Palin didn't lose this election for John McCain, he did that all by himself. We expected this, and it is amazing that it didn't even take 24 hours to come to pass.

Sarah Palin was being blamed last night even before the results were in. I'm quite annoyed by that. But God ...

What do you think about FOX News reporting on the "wide gaps" in Palin's knowledge of policy and geopgraphy?

Oh my Goodness! I really am shocked that someone would let anyone other than her husband see her in just a towel! As I understand it her husband was there, he could have asked them to come back when she was decent. I am also surprised that you have provided a link to a site containg such profanity. "A-holes"??? I think it says. I most definitely subscribe to a different set of Christian values that you all. Good luck with your Palin worship. I will be praying for you, her and her family.

intelligence matters, NOW you guys get offended by language? come on, surely the messiah didn't brainwash you into believing that 24 hours after the election we'd all think you guys are now suddenly all righteous and all. if he did, you are sadly mistaken. we see right through it. cut the crap already. i'm not buying it for one minute.

lynn,

methinks FOX is afraid of the fairness doctrine and is posturing itself. that's what i think. the tone on fox (for many of the major faces on there) changed the very second they discovered Obama was going to pull it off. fair and balanced isn't so much fair and balanced lately...although i get why they are posturing. when they start losing viewers, maybe they'll figure out we watch because they are fair and balanced. without that, they become irrelevant like the rest of the MSM.

intelligence matters,

she came to the door in a ROBE, so at least get your story straight. we're kinda tired of all the lies.

I just think it's intersting when an unfavorable report comes out against Saint Sarah it's "LIES!" But when something comes out against someone you hate it's assumed to the be the truth. And, you all were urging everyone to vote for McCain and now there are links that say the McCain people need to go away. Which is it? Is it all McCain's fault now?? I guess if that is the case, you must be glad he didn't win afterall. I acutally liked McCain during the primaries and though I might vote for him. I changed my mind when Sarah Palin was added to the ticket.

Speaking of making generalizations, Intelligencematters, lets review the facts. Am I to assume that suddenly the MSM is going to have a change of heart and only speak truth about Palin? I haven't believed a darn thing they have said from the beginning primarily because every shot they have taken at her has proven to be either false or grossly inaccurate. So, while I am sure Gov. Palin made her fair share of mistakes-because after all, she IS human, not messianic-I will not be getting my news about her from "unknown" and clearly very bitter losers from inside the McCain campaign. I have not spoken ill of Senator McCain. Up to now, he has defended Sarah and I have admired him here great...while making it clear from time to time that I did disagree with him on several issues. So, again, take the holier than thou attitude elsewhere...it's really quite nauseating.

So you distrust ANY source that goes against what you believe, and the one news source you did believe, you discredit now that it reports something you don't like. As much as I can admit some sources are biased to the left such as msnbc, you have to realize fox has always leaned to the right, especially O'Reilly, and for them to report what has been so obvious to the majority of america, should be an indicator to you that there's a chance you might have to rethink things. O'Reilly was obviously trying to downplay the significance of Palin needing to be tutored. There was still some bias there, but at least it was being reported. It would benefit you to be a little more open minded about things.
Regardless of what you think, most Obama supporters don't think he is the messiah and we are not brainwashed. We see his shortcomings and he was not even my preferred candidate, a republican was. But top economists, prominent republicans, even the ultimate symbol of capitalism Warren Buffet all saw he was the better candidate between him and McCain.

Would you be willing to even see any shortcomings at all of Palin? As much as you talk about Obama supporters seeing him as a messiah, you have to realize that is exactly what you are doing with Palin.

Aldo,

Clearly you are so far left that you don't know what "right" is. O'Reilly is a moderate or an independent, but he is no conservative. That is for SURE. Ask any conservative and they'll tell you that.

Uhhh, no, I am not treating Palin as the Messiah. I have said here that I disagree with her stand on the bailout...but this site, Aldo, is ENTITLED Moms 4 Sarah Palin--that pretty much is a giveaway that we are FOR Sarah Palin. You want to start your own Palin-bashing site that is certainly your right, be my guest. The main stream media (MSM) is doing a fabulous job all by itself bashing her, and we are not going to do it here. Is she perfect? Nope, I challenge you to find where I have EVER said that. What I do admire most about her is her willingness not to tuck tail and cower in a corner sucking her thumb when EVERYONE comes after her. The MSM went after here because, from the outset, she didn't kiss butt with them, and I feel certain that she didn't like the moderates in McCain's campaign asking her to kiss butt or change her tone on some issues. I admire her for standing for who she is and for what is right. I am positive that is why now, when all's said and done, she is being attacked from within the ranks. They know she represents the conservative wing of the party, and they cannot come after her on ideas, so they attack her otherwise--using FOX news to do it. What better place to leak it than to the channel most conservatives prefer? We're not buyin' it for a second, like the rest of the baloney you guys tried to dig up or make up, it didn't stick.

You guys would do well to mind your own party now and not worry about us. We've got some house cleaning to do. Conservatives didn't lose this race...where conservatism was on the ballot, it won. (i.e. gay marriage in CA) Moderates lost this election cuz nobody likes someone who can't take a stand and pick a side. That's been our beef with McCain from the outset. I proudly voted for McCain, but it's no secret I disagreed with him on some issues. But, that's over, and we're moving on. Time to retake our party and return it to its conservative roots where people had guts and stood for something.

On a personal note:

I am growing tired of people coming here and suggesting my husband and I are wealthy. While it is none of your business what our level of income is, I can assure you that we are anything BUT wealthy. If you assume this because you saw the interior of my living room on CNN, you can compliment me for my decorating ability but do not assume we are rich because we have a pretty (if I may say so myself) home. I have learned the art of decorating on a budget and I do quite well if I may say so myself! I stay at home because my husband and I decided that was best for our family and our circumstances. We homeschool our daughter because we cannot afford a private school, and choose not to educate her in government run schools. While I realize this is not for everyone, it is the choice we made. So, stop with the "it must be nice to be so rich" or "you're just mad because you're taxes will be raised under Obama" comments. Our family has nowhere near the FIRST level of income he suggested, however that has since gone lower and lower, and I feel certain that we all will feel that tax increase very soon. That is unless we are the ones paying none at all--then we get a check in the mail for doing nothing to earn it. Hmmm, sounds great to me!

You may be right about me being far left. It's a matter of perception.

However I don't see myself as far left, because I would have voted for Ron Paul over Obama had he won the republican nomination. But there is a difference between fiscal conservatism, and social conservatism.

Proposition 8 did not win because of conservatives. The proposition passed because of the prejudice from hispanics and african americans against homosexuals, and those two groups were also a big reason Obama won. The measure actually failed among white people. But the more important statistic is that regardless of race, the measure failed among younger voters, and passed with older voters, showing clearly this prejudice, just like racism, will fade away with the older generations dying off.
