A Sad Day, Indeed

I would be lying if I said that tonight is not a disappointment of enormous proportions for Republicans and many conservative Democrats. It makes me physically sick to see Barack HUSSEIN Obama stand in front of a row of American flags for which all of the men in my family have fought for, and continue to fight for. He has not ever been proud of old glory, and will do everything in his power to destroy her prestige.

Tonight at least half of the American people voted to put a socialist in the White House. This is truly a sad day for our country. Anytime socialism has ever been tried, it failed, miserably. This time will be no different, and my children will spend their lifetimes trying to undo the damage this man will do. I believe Oprah had more than a tingle up her leg as Obama gave his socialist speech about how terrible America is, and how he will make it better. It was truly disturbing. America, be careful what you ask for.

Prepare to meet Al Quaeda on American soil, girls. We have taken the fight to other lands in an effort to protect America. The fight will now come to us, I have no doubt. To those military men and women who have fought so diligently...you have my utmost respect, and though many Americans do not appreciate what you have fought for, we do, and we owe you the freedoms we have enjoyed. I am truly sorry for YOUR loss tonight, because perhaps you have lost more than anyone.

As for this blog...many are still bothering to come here tonight and demand that I shut it down. This, however, is the beginning of four years of "I told you so" and this blog will be here to document them, and to begin our push for Sarah 2012. Sarah will still be a political force to be reckoned with, and I can't wait to see what's next for her!

I have much I want to say to our dear Sarah, and the great Senator who has given his life in service of this great country, but I want to take some time to prepare my post to them. They have given so much, and we are so grateful.

Finally, let me say, I am not bitter. I am truly sad for this country. What is, is. We prayed and worked our hearts out for this campaign, and I truly believe we won it. It's no coincidence that the financial fallout happened one month before the elections, and fraud of massive proportions has been perpetrated. I have never seen a more arrogant group of people, and I feel certain they will get what's coming to them. They have no idea who this man is, they are sheep and act as if a god just won the White House. They are cultists. They think he will save them from their sorry lives, and I am certain they will find out differently very, very soon. Obama says tonight he is going to "remake" America. I will never call this man my President. A man who could never get a security clearance to work in law enforcement is now going to be at the helm. He is already a disgrace and an embarrassment, and God help us. There are many dark days ahead for this nation. You can thank anyone you know who voted for him. Prepare to shoulder your burden of service and sacrifice, for your Dear Leader promised you this duty.

Do you truly feel that you are patriotic when you say that you "will never call this man MY President?"

Tami said...

Ummm, rick, I don't recall saying I was trying to be patriotic by saying that. I have a love for my country that is undying, and I am truly saddened by what is about to happen to her.

You will all see soon enough...I have no doubt about that.

I have never been so disappointed in this nation. You are right, this is a sad day. I am thankful that God is still in control. Preparing to trust Him like never before.

Tami,
I too from across the Pacific was devastated to see this man win the White House. I watched Sarah Palin beside John McCain as he gave his concession speech: she struggled to evoke a smile, and was clearly even more devastated than John. But we have not seen the last of her by a long shot.
However, the liberal-left is in triumph at this time: they can now move to take over the entire country until there are virtually no "red states" left.
At this time we must consider two things:
1. You love your country. That is fine and commendable. The left does not. Yet as Christians our citizenship is in Heaven (Phil.3:21), and we yearn for a better country (Heb.11:14-16), where righteousness dwells.
2. We are, I believe, at the very end of this Gospel Age. I know people have said that before, but while God has not given us dates, He has given us signs, and one of the signs, while I have not the space to explain, is the whole trend towards globalism and a global state. This move presses inexorably on, and when in place the final Antichrist or Man of Lawlessness will appear. Since that figure is, I believe, to be identified with the "Little horn" of Daniel 7, he will make war with the saints (Dan.7:21). Tough times are ahead for God's people!
This being the case we must, despite our love of country, learn to let go. We seek a better country - better than than America, or Australia, or Britain, or wherever.
Be of good cheer! It is God's pleasure to give you His Kingdom (Luke 12"32). The Barack Obama's of this world, and all the liberal host with their God-hating, Christ-hating, and Bible-hating venom (as displayed in the bile dumped on Sarah) will not inherit the Kingdom. They may capture America, but that is all they will have! This is still God's world, and sooner than we or they think, they will be thrown out of this world - forever.
In short, by all means fight for the right and the truth of the Gospel, for integrity, and against the wholesale slaughter of the unborn. But when all is done, the question will be, "Have you fought the good fight?" Not, "Have you fought and won?" Moreover, are you prepared to let go - of country, of kin, of possessions, of life itself, and trust yourself to the Master?
Do not be disllusioned at this time: the Coming of the Lord draws near, just beyond the triumph of evil men.
"And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image; these two were thrown into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone." Rev.19:20

My mom usually comments under this name, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. I saw the final results this morning and did become physically ill. Words cannot express how sad I am. I know at 15, I'm supposed to be excited by Obama, but I don't think I'll ever be able to think of him as president.

I completely agree with everything you said in this post Tami. This is truly a sad day. And I am very scared for the future of the United States of America.

Don't be such a sour puss Tami! Look on the bright side: with socialism also comes mandatory exercise programs and food rationing, particularly on those fatty "comfort" foods. We'll have the interior states fit and trim in no time!

We as God's people have no reason to fear. As someone already said, God is in control, and He is the one sitting on the throne of glory. We as kingdom citizens should have no fear, but faith and trust in God no matter who is the president. Obama winning does not mean God lost.

The Most High is the true ruler of all nations and He is the one who sets up rulers and takes down rulers according to Daniel 2:21--"And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:" And also according to Romans 13:1--"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

Let us not be divided now, but come together as one people, especially the household of faith. Let us remember said that any nation divided against itself cannot stand. As far as Obama as president, let us remember the words of Gamaliel in Acts 5:34-3
9--And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God."

We as God's people must realize our citizenship is in the kingdom of God, but we live and operate in this present world. We have the name of Jesus and power of prayer to make change happen.

No president, whether it had been McCain or Obama can do nothing except the Lord allow them or give them the power as Jesus said to Pilate. John 19:11--" Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above" So Obama can do nothing except the Lord allow him or gives him the power.

We as believers should have no fear, but true faith and love that casts out fear.

We now have to come to understand that God has a specific reason or reasons as to why He has set up Obama to be President of the United States of America. It is part of His overall plan and He foreknew this and now He will work it for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose--Romans 8:28-- "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

Obama's heart is in the hand of the Lord and according to Proverbs 21:1--The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will. We should pray and take great comfort in this scripture that God is going to take Obama's presidency and work it for the good of His people, the Church.

America is not cursed, we are blessed.
Could it possibly be unknown to us that the election of Obama is according to God's will for the purposes He has for this nation? I know for many this would be absurd and ridiculous. But let us ultimately remember we are not God, and He knows more than we and what He intends to do to accomplish His will in the earth. Let us remember what the Lord said in Isaiah 55:8,9--"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Lastly lets us remember our man is the man Christ Jesus and no matter what as he said in Matthew 28:20--"And, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Tami, thank you for your convictions, faith and beliefs. It is now time for you and the other ladies to pray more, but not in fear, but in faith in our Lord Jesus and His plans for this nation. We are admonished to pray for our leaders and Obama will need the prayers of the citizens of God's kingdom. Not prayers against him, but for him to be what the Lord desires. Let us remember what God has done for all us who are called Christians. He saved us and gave us a new heart, mind and spirit. Nothing is impossible with God and again America is blessed!

I think you are doing a great job with this blog and I feel it's important to have all sides of the story out there, so kudos to you!

My first question is, why do you feel the need to capitalize "Hussein" in Barack's name?

I also think people need to rethink the whole "socialist" issue a bit more because the theme of spreading the wealth been a ever present part of American history. When Abraham Lincoln introduced the first federal income tax in 1862, it was at a flat 3 percent rate for anyone making more than $600 a year, which was then a respectable salary. For instance, farmhands, who earned an average of $200, did not pay the tax. So this theme of socialism has always been present in one way or another in America, so there's nothing to be so afraid of.

Tami,
All I can say is America may have gotten what they wanted, but they may not want what are going to get. I was literally sickened at how the results played out. I cannot believe people could want this person in office. I have family members that voted for him, and I just dont understand how they could vote for a man who has such bad morals. I just pray that God has mercy on this country. This kinda reminds me of Israel in the Bible. They wanted a king, and God gave them Saul. Everything was good at the beginning, but they sure did not want him after a while. I have this feeling that America is going to see exactly what this means all too soon. I will respect his office, but not him as a human being. May God grant us His mercy during these next four years. I appreciate all you do with this blog, and i agree with you in everything you said in this post. May God bless you and your family.

I am very glad that you are not taking down this terrific blog. I ran into several of your supporters at the Sarah Palin rally in Fort Myers and have been a faithful reader since.

I've been reading your last couple of days of posts and it was as though you were taking the words out of my heart and soul and putting them up for all to read.

There are still people actively trying to protect our constitution with what appears to be a fraudulent copy of Barack Obama's birth certificate. It is in front of the Supreme Court, which means that Barack Obama doesn't meet all three of the criteria for becoming our next president. All he has to do at this point is produce his birth certificate but he and his team say that we, the people, have no standing in requesting such document.

But should that prevail, ... our poor, poor country.

someone left a comment asking why I put hussein in caps. Folks, you have to read more than one post sometimes to understand context. We have talked here many times about how Obama, early on in the campaign, forbid the MSM to use his middle name. At the time, my response was, what the heck? Why be ashamed of your name? Then, the more he demanded and became so arrogant about it, the sillier it got. I am NOT calling him a muslim. I am NOT calling him a terrorist. I simply find it amusing, because if McCain had ordered the MSM not to use his middle name (which by the way we have used here many times--Sidney) they would have plastered it on every headline!!
So, to the guy who asked the question about this and other things, read the archives, you will find your answers.

Tami,

One more question: Why are you so certain that such dark days are in store for this country now that we've elected Barack Obama as President? I'm truly curious....I know there are many who comment here about biblical prophecy and how Obama might fit into this somehow??? please enlighten me....does this have something to do with your strong feelings about him? This would give much insight to me into where you are coming from and would alieviate a lot of the back and forth for some of us. I know your faith is very strong and I could never argue with someone regarding their faith.....politics yes; religion, yes.....faith just seems different from religion if you know what I mean?

Oh, well. I'm reaching out to you in peace. Trying to understand....balls in your court, sister :)

Peace!

Tami said...

susanmig,

First, would you say most of your comments here previously have been hate filled? I would say so, even though you do always end them sarcastically with "Peace". Thank you for finally posting something respectful.

To answer your question, I believe dark days are ahead for these reasons:

Obama's tax policy will have the consequence of driving investors out of the stock market due to greatly increased capital gains taxes, and the increase in taxation on small and large businesses alike will only result in businesses seeking to either reduce overhead or to pass the expense of higher taxes onto the consumer. (layoffs, increase in cost of goods and services=recession ala Jimmy Carter)

Concerning the Middle East, Obama's conciiatory posture will invite violence or attacks on our soil by Islamo-facists. Instead of fighting the enemy in the Middle East we will find that we are fighting them on our own soil.

These are just 2 examples--indications of things to come. Most Democrats even admit that these days are coming, including Joe Biden.....we will begin to cover many things in the posts here that deal with these and other issues in the coming weeks.

Biblical prophecy is a complex subject, and my opposition to him has nothing to do with Biblical prophecy. Moral principles, yes.

I oppose Barack H. Obama because he is socialist in his views. He beleives in the enlargement of the welfare state, Decreasing national defense, he's weak on foreign policy and that's putting it mildly....this is what we KNOW about him. What we don't know about him is far worse. He's very unclear about his intentions...Iran is already posturing.

I never said Obama tried to get hired by law enforcement. When one is hired in law enforcement, primarily federal, they have to go through a series of interviews which can take months--because of the security clearances they are given. A security clearance is a grant of trust...and a person's associations bear directly on the question of a person's loyalties. ANYONE with the implication of radical associations is deemed to NOT possess the require measure of trustworthiness to be granted access to these materials. Obama has MANY associations with radical subversives (i.e. William Ayers and others) who have sought the violent overthrow of the government. He is therefore UNqualified to hold a security clearance by any federal law enforcement agency.

Hope this answers some of your questions.

Thanks for answering my questions.

And, for the record....my "peace" is always sincere. I'm a pacifist by nature. And I always TRY to end my communications with a "peace". they are NEVER done in scarcasm. Just as you would never say "God bless you" in scarcasm.

Peace!

It's already November 6 where I come from, but I still cannot get over the sad news. Like you, I'm still physically ill. When I watched the McCain concession speech, a pit just formed in my stomach.

I come from SE Asia. I'm no American, but I've been truly inspired by Sarah Palin. She has won my respect, and it just pains me greatly to see her defeated.

It angers me to see that she has not been treated with the respect she deserves throughout the course of her campaign with John McCain. I am disgusted at the extreme and out-of-bounds attacks on her. They were uncalled for, and my heart just went out to Sarah. She has not been treated fairly, and that just makes me mad.

What angers me further are the extremely mean comments that people still give out even after the elections. It's over-- so just stop with the mudslinging already. :(

If they are truly mature and civilized, they would have accepted the left's win graciously and just leave Sarah Palin to get on with her life. At 17, it sickens me to see how people older than I am can be so immature.

She is a woman to respect, despite what the so-called "feminists", the MSM and the left-wing say. I have always been liberal with my stands as a person, but Sarah Palin made me think about some of the more extreme principles that I believe in. That's how powerful and charismatic she is. Pity that few saw the greatness in her-- or rather, pity that many chose to ignore the greatness in her. :|

I just feel so passionate about the whole post-election mudslinging. There's no need to do such thing. :( In fact, such thing shouldn't be done.

It's true that whatever the outcome of the elections over there in the USA affects us here too. I just hope the new president can fulfill his promises and pull the world out of this mire.

I hope Sarah returns to 2012-- better than ever and more well-informed. She is truly a formidable politician. John McCain made no mistake in choosing her. :)

Hello again, Tami,

I always find it curious that conservatives ignore a number of obvious facts when sliming Barack Obama as a socialist or worse.

1. Does anyone really think that the nation's foremost capitalist, Warren Buffett, is really supporting a socialist.

2. We have now had 8 years of extreme tax cutting the large percentage of which was for the benefit of the wealthiest people in America. So it is not surprising that their incomes exploded. The income of middle class families, adjusted for inflation, went down. I would say that was a good laboratory for extreme tax policy.

3. Under the Clinton rates, the income rose not just for the wealthy but also for the middle class, the engine of the American economy.

3. This election was won by Democrats partly because quite a few Americans finally got that they have had the wool pulled over their eyes.

4. All that Obama proposes is a return to the tax rates of the Clinton era, hardly a socialist revolution.

5. The recession we are having is coming at the end of 8 years of Republican tax policy. Lets just make sure we get that right.

Yours in Christ,

Thomas

Tami,

You published a post by some guy with the name: "fukpalin", who spouted pure hate... Yet you declined to publish my last post, which I feel had some very valid criticism of your original post. I edited out some of the statement I figure you found the most offensive, so I hope you publish me this time.

You say that you're not bitter, and then follow with direct attacks like: "they are sheep" and "They are cultists." I'm guessing "They" refers to Obama supporters? That's seems like quite a contradiction to me.

You say: "They think he will save them from their sorry lives, and I am certain they will find out differently very, very soon."

Well, I support Obama, and I voted for him. Yet, I don't have a sorry life, and I don't expect anyone to "save" me from it. I do, however, think he'll make a lot of positive changes in America.

Just a reminder for everyone, the bank buyout and bailout plan proposed by the current republican administration is the very definition of socialism. The ideas Obama has proposed are not. The word socialism is thrown around like a bad word, when our country already practices socialism for the largest corporations.
All Obama has proposed is giving a tax break to the majority of us, instead of giving tax cuts to only the richest. How is that socialism?
The phrase "spreading the wealth" has been taken out of context. He will not be taking money away from people and simply handing it to the poor. What that comment was meant to symbolize was a reversal of the current trend of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

I know this is your blog and you can allow whatever posts you wish, but I think we all need to be as educated as possible. I've visited your site to be able to view things from a different perspective. As humans we should allow some room to question what we believe, so I scour for alternative points of views such as yours to keep myself in check. For that I thank you.

Does it not matter to you that Obama's election has generated joyful response around the world? People hear his plan for improving America and they see he is willing to work with countries around the world and they are hopeful for us! You say we are sheep that act as if a god has just won the White House.. you act as if John McCain had the only possible solution to this nation's problems! Obama's economic plan is not a new idea and it is not socialism. And while it is not feasible as a long term solution, it will help alleviate burdens felt right now. This is one of the wealthiest nations in the world.. have you even seen the 3rd world? Lived in a hut, had no running water? How unfortunate that your large salary went down a few thousand and you can't take that trip to Fiji, your less fortunate neighbor is now able to send his child to college! Isn't that what the American spirit is about? The betterment of the people as a whole? This honest call to service and sacrifice is willing given by our troops, and we have now been called as civilians to do the same. It's the type of patriotism and straight shooting you would revere if it came from the lips of Palin. You cast your gloomy shadow with your forecast of despair for our future.. and that is exactly why the campaign for "hope" was so successful. Obama has called the people to invest, serve, and sacrifice for the future of their nation, because it will take all of us working together to make it happen. Are you going to stand in the corner and say "I told you so" while your fellow Americans try to rebuild our country? Or will you join in.. let your representatives hear your voice.. and try to improve the country we all love so much? In the words of John McCain himself "I wish Godspeed to the man who was my former opponent and will be my president. And I call on all Americans, as I have often in this campaign, to not despair of our present difficulties, but to believe, always, in the promise and greatness of America, because nothing is inevitable here."

God Bless America!

Barack Obama is not an evil man. Why are you treating him as such? How do you know that he has never been proud of old glory and "will do everything is his power to destroy her prestige."? Disagreeing with his viewpoints is one thing. Calling him anti-American is just hateful. "Thank you. God bless you. And may God bless the United States of America." This was the end of his victory speech. Is this someone who purposefully wants to destroy America? Obama never gave a speech about how terrible America is. He talked about how America is in a time of crisis, just like McCain. It seems like you're spinning his words to help justify your hate for him, and I don't respect that as a Christian conservative. I don't have illusions about Obama, but I know he's not an evil man who hates this country. His views on how to make this a better country differ from yours and mine. Tami, I know you're a Christian, but I feel a lot of hate in the way you write sometimes. If you feel that Obama is your enemy, Jesus said to love your enemy as yourself -- to pray for and bless your enemy.

I just don't understand.

P.S. I don't think anyone thinks he is the messiah. Humans make mistakes, and he has never claimed to save us all. Hope being instilled in a nation seems positive to me.

My comment is written on Jan. 11, 2009.

I thought it would be interesting to scroll down to the Election Day blog post of November 4 2008 and post my comment here. Just to give alittle peek into the future on how BO is leading so far after being elected.

BO's campaign was based on HOPE- CHANGE.

Yet, since the election, I find no hope in his president-elect speeches. His rhetoric is full of fear for the American people. The speeches are all doom and gloom. His cabinet choices are full of people from the Clinton era So, I say....Where is all the Hope and where is all the Change?

The people who voted him in were in a trance. Their eyes were glazed-over as they chanted "Obama, Obama, Obama."

We need a leader. Not a fear monger. Sure, things are tough. But it not because of the American people who pay their taxes to the Feds and the local government. We pay our taxes AND bail out the greedy corporate crooks. What more do you want us to do? Oh yes....listen to the leader of the free world WHINE.

He is whining because he is having to finally make a decision and decisions are hard because you can't please everyone, which is something that narcissistic BO needs: To be liked by everyone. That is why he voted 'present' in the Senate as a junior senator. He didn't want to take a lead and make a choice and perhaps make an enemy.

Things were really scary the afternoon of 9/11. We feared for our lives instead of our pocketbook. To me, that is far more of a crisis than what we are going through now. What did our leader Bush do? He lead. He did not get up there in front of the American people and spread the word of fear. He put the nation at ease that we would prevail! He kept our nation safe while we were 'under his watch'. He promised that and he delivered!

BO promised HOPE and can't even have it himself before he even reaches office. He might as well be saying, "Look, the Economy is bad..we're all going to die!" That's what the leader (ha) BO might as well be saying because that is all I am hearing.

Hope and Change, it seems, was left on the stage at Grant Park in Chicago, Election night. He strutted out on stage, accepted the win and promised his girls a dog. That maybe be the only promise he delivers on.

commenter said...

third rock from the sun, you do realize that he promised change from what the BUSH administration is doing. Also where was Bush when Katrina struck? Oh thats right, on vacation and for 2 days afterward too. And lastly who said Obama was fear mongering or whining. He is merely stating the facts. Obviously we are going through bad times and people are chanting because they finally think we have a leader who can fix this. Try to keep an open mind.

Alicia said...

Commentor, you mentioned BO promised change. Oh boy is he delivering. Yes, he's already signed the paperwork to free the world's worst criminals from GITMO. I don't know where you live, but perhaps when/if they come to our country they can live in your backyard? I sure don't want them in mine. Not even in a fortified prison system. And even your backyard is too close to my backyard! Remember, they want us destroyed. Dead. Our children, grandchildren, all of us. Dead and gone.

Another bit of change coming from him is the paperwork allowing MY tax dollars to FOREIGN organizations that support abortions. Bad enough that the money is kept in our country for those purposes, but now we're going to have to print more money that we already don't have to assist women in other countries too. Ugh.

Shame on our country for being so blinded by this man and voting in such incompetence for the highest office there is. Shame. Shame. Shame. We can only hold on and pray.

commenter said...

He is not freeing the criminals, he is shutting down the Guantanamo Bay detention center which has been the source of an unbelievable amount of criticism from almost all the countries in the world and other groups such as the Human's Rights Watch. The criminals will all still be prosecuted. To the next part of your comment yes he is removing the Mexico City Policy which does a lot more than let non-government programs that are federally funded provide abortions to women. The Mexico City Policy has a big fault it is way too vague and many groups funding has been cut off if another part of the program in another country even talks about abortion as an option. Considering that these groups also provided contraceptives and family planning the distribution of these went down increasing the amount of unwanted pregnancies and ultimately abortions. This increases contraceptive use and other types of family planning. Eventually leading to a decrease in unwanted pregnancies and abortions. On the surface it is unfortunate for pro-life people but it will ultimately decrease the amount of abortions.

third rock from the sun said...

In order to be Pro-choice...one must first be born.

Alicia said...

Commenter, you totally ignored what I said about GITMO. Yes, BO is shutting down GITMO. I understand that. BUT, where are they going to be prosecuted? Where are they the worlds worst criminals going to be taken? Your backyard or mine? And again, I don't want them in either.

The aid to foreign countries was done to make a statement. Period. You know that as well as I do.

commenter said...

I did not ignore it by "free" them I thought you were completely ignorant and meant that they were letting them all go. As for where they will put them, I'm guessing that is undecided and since it is closing within a year they have some time to decide where to put them. When they say where you can criticize more then.
