Feminism Is Dead

I've been watching the objectification of Sarah Palin with a somewhat jaundiced eye. As a conservative, I have come to anticipate hypocrisy from the left. But, this presses me toward incredulity. Newsweek magazine blatantly attempts to cast Sarah Palin as an inept bimbo with no redeeming qualities aside from a stunning beauty. Terrified by her broad appeal, derived from a universal sense of her genuineness, the left continues to respond in a typically bigoted fashion. The anti-intellectual left is in full propaganda mode. But, what is most shocking is the complete silence from the feminist movement. Apparently, because the National Organization for Women, and other organizations of this coven's ilk, does not agree with Palin's political perspective she is merely fodder for the bigots, sexists, and womanizers of the state run media. Where are the bug eyed, bra-burning, amazonian zealots? Not so much as a sigh from Terry O'Neil. Well, we can thank Sarah for an additional service to her country--driving a stake into the rotting bosom of the left's feminist movement.

Sarah Palin's Facebook comments in full:

"The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness - a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context."

Absolutely correct. The liberal mass media are fearful of Sarah and this fear manifests itself in hatred, belittlement, and twisted statements designed to denigrate and destroy her credibility. So far all it has done is increase her following and her stature as a conservative leader that can lead us out of the ObamaNation Socialism

" Not a day goes by that we don't hear or read vicious attacks on a woman who represents the conservative, wholesome values of Middle America; values that have been insidiously and incrementally eroded during the last few decades. "

"What this country needs is a strong conservative leader with the courage of her convictions.

Sensing those qualities in Sarah Palin, the liberal left is becoming frantic because they can't seem to halt her popularity.

The reason they're panicking is because they're afraid of her connection with regular folks who work for a living, pay their taxes, attend a religious worship service regularly and believe that our country has lost the moral fiber that once united us. "

I agree, Newsweek is definitely not a real source of NEWS. Ironic, isn't it?

Sarah is awesome...I love this photo, even though it was for Runner's World...she takes care of herself! She's an inspiration to me.

She's in Cincinnati...I wish I had gone to her book signing yesterday!

Now wait a minute--she's posing in a sort of '40s cheesecake posture, hand on hip, and is leaning her elbow on a barstool that has an American flag slung over it (is that how the flag should be displayed?). No matter what you think of her politics--this pic is a little tacky by ANY standard.

Rosemary...only if you're jealous, or just hate Sarah Palin because of what she stands for. Under any other standard, this picture is incredible.
