Some Thoughts

I’ve been pretty amused these last few weeks as I’ve been loosely following the news while trying to get some much needed R&R. Forced to watch networks other than Fox News (the only true AMERICAN network that follows both sides of all things political), I’ve been able to see why so many Americans have been duped and why the world is laughing hysterically at the embarrassment of the administration now residing in our nations capitol. One thing’s for certain: you know you’re effective when the liberal left begins foaming at the mouth over things they classify as “unimportant”. So “unimportant” that they had the talking heads on every major network covering it, while at the same time launching an all-out-attack against it. While ferociously attacking the right of any American to stage a protest such as these Tea Parties I’m referring to, commentators such as MSNBC’s Olbermann, and CNN’s Maddow and Cooper assigned sexual terms that apply to sexual acts that they seemed quite familiar with as they described the protests. The leftists that normally comment here have been strangely silent, for the most part, and the ones who have commented have left rants that have little to do with the news of today, or last week for that matter.

I’m thankful for the entertainment, pathetic though it may be. Our President claimed to know nothing of the tea parties, and it proves he’s either completely out of touch, a moron, or a liar. Given his track record for the few months, I’m thinking it’s the latter. He’s become quite the circus act, making his appearances nearly every day in front of the cameras with his trusty teleprompter. I frankly cannot wait to see what’s next, and if he weren’t showing such disdain for his own country in the process, I might actually enjoy watching this train wreck.

What I find even more amusing is the continued disdain the liberal left displays for Governor Palin. It's everywhere! Sitcoms, award shows, not-so-popular prime time news shows, comedy acts, etc. They are petrified of who she is and what she stands for. If they weren't, they wouldn't be so worried and she would be left alone to live her life quietly in Alaska with her family. Her pro-life stand is the greatest threat of all to them--imagine that. A woman who stands strongly on the side of life--she's the enemy? You'd better believe it. She's everything left wing liberal women are not, starting with her appearance. They hate her and will do all they can to destroy her and her family.

Moving on, it's been interesting to watch the mainstream media reaction to Miss California's honest answer to a question that the openly gay blogger Perez Hilton asked her at the Miss USA pageant last month.

Well now, how's that for tolerance? Here was his answer (language alert):

Before any of you go commenting saying he apologized...not so fast. He retracted his apology (see this link). What I find most disgusting is that the Miss USA organization has condemned Carrie Prejean, NOT Perez Hilton for his disgusting display of bigotry. Prejean gave a respectful, honest answer, and likely lost the crown because of it.

As usual on the liberal left, the hypocrisy is astonishing. The very ones who preach tolerance are the most intolerant people in our society who will try and destroy anyone who disagrees with them.

There was much more news that happened while I was away--more than could ever all be covered on a single blog. In fact, these days it's mind blowing to try and cover the news in just ONE day, let alone several weeks. The rate at which this administration is dismantling our democracy is shocking--and make no mistake about it, there will be a price to be paid.

In closing, while I was away, something very tragic happened to a precious baby that belongs to friends of our family. Little Noah Whitmer was taken to daycare one ordinary day, and while in the care of this facility, was violently shaken. He's a strong little guy and has been fighting hard for his life since April 20th. Please keep him and his dear family in your prayers. I agree with you, It would be more than humorous to watch Obama and the left crash and burn were it not for the damage the are likely to inflict on the way down. This is exactly like watching a train wreck only worse, you know you and your family are riding this train.

Tami -- Hope you enjoyed the R&R wherever it was.
It would be interesting to see what readers of this blog to hear more of what they think the future of America should be rather than spending time blasting Obama/Obozo/etc at every turn.

There seem to have been a lot of articles/statement from folks like Newt Gringrich about what the GOP should be doing and particularly what is not doing now.

Any chance readers/writers of this blog could help foster a more constructive dicussion?

Also, what do people say about Bill Bennet say Sarah P is not the future of the party? Is he now a lunatic liberal?

Thanks again for maintaining this blog --- It has at times been informative when not completely weighed down in anti-Obama/liberal/MSM rants.

PS I don't think I am lunatic and hopefully do not rant. Just think your blog has become so one-sided that it may lose its interest beyond a small circle - Shouldn't you be reaching out to others who do NOT agree with you and help them see your view?

sherlockman,

thanks for your input, although, just as you wouldn't want me telling you how to run a liberal blog, I don't let you libs dictate how I like to run this one.

truth is, I have put plenty on this blog regarding what we hope will be the future of this country, based primarily on what our forefathers intended. I have plans to post more in the coming months and years on the subject, but feel in no real hurry to do so.

As for this blog being one sided? Come on, seriously? I mean, the very NAME of the blog suggests that we are supporters of Sarah Palin, therefore, we support the right wing conservative principles on which this nation was founded. It IS okay, sherlockman, to pick a side. There is right, and there is wrong. History has already proven what I believe to be right, although our current President would love to have it all rewritten.

As for Obozo, and the MSM--they're both a disgrace to this nation. Obama hasn't the slightest clue what he's doing other than his attempt at following his trusty "Rules for Radicals" handbook.

As for Bill Bennet, Newt and the rest, I highly respect them both. I don't rubber stamp everything ANY politician or pundit says, including Governor Palin. If Bennet has said what you claim he said, then I respectfully disagree with him, but it doesn't mean he's a lunatic liberal. That title is saved for the "dear leader" and the robots who blindly latch on to every word he reads.

So, I don't particularly care if you libs think this blog is one sided. OF COURSE it is! I am a conservative and proud of it. There's no rule in the blogosphere that says I must allow both sides to be represented, or even that I have to post comments from the other side. I have been very fair in posting many comments that are left here, and yet you guys do nothing but whine about me not posting comments. I'd like to see the Daily Kos or heck, even CNN, represent both sides too--but life's not fair, and the beauty of America is that we are all free to have an opinion.

At least for now. Oh, and unless you're Ms. California.

Cheryle said...

Oh, and Ms. California IS free to have an opinion. Her problem is that she wants everyone to share her opinion. If she truly believes what she says, then she won't mind the sacrifice for having said it. You know, like Christians are willing to suffer for what they believe. Instead, she whines and her fans whine with her.

I love it Tami...I can just imagine sherlockman saying, "....[readers of blogs should say more of what they think the] future of America should be rather than spending time blasting BUSH at every turn!"

Oh it's ok for liberals to rag on Bush (our past president), but now that we have Bhusseino the community organizer, we should all come together and 'foster constructive discussions'. Given the lightning speed at which bills are being passed right and left in Washingtion since Jan. 20th, it seems there IS no time for discussion or even have the time to read about what is to be discussed...uh...like the stimulus bill. In this sight, as I see it, we are FOR AMERICA...we would be against anything or anyone who threatens HER...so that is probably why it seems like we are anti-Bhusseino.

...and finally....the lyrics written by Francis Scott Key in 1814 for the Star Spangled Banner are ringing true today for the 'everyday American patriot.' We have to be brave to speak out, anymore, like Carrie Prejean and Sarah Palin. Because you will be instantaneously at war with the press as the liberal media will riddle you with personal attack bullets/or bullies (which ever you prefer).

Was very glad to see the Donald protect Carrie Prejean's title of Miss California. Atleast he made a good call on that one, even though he didn't on the Apprentice finale. Carrie stood up for what she believed in and did it with dignity and braveness and not hate...someone the liberal socialists can learn from. I especially like how they tried to pull her title because she wasn't representing everyone in the state by standing up for traditional marriage. Well, if that's the case, we should pull Bhusseino's title, because he isn't representin' everyone in the nation...now is he?

Two beautiful, strong, brave, courageous, and dignified Christian women who can speak from their heart and not a teleprompter...now that's change I can believe in. God bless them and America!

It used to be that we had to fight for our freedom abroad and now we have to fight for it on our own homeland.

maybe if Bhusseino didn't blast America at every turn, I wouldn't have to appear anti Bhusseino. Bhusseino has hijacked this plane called America and we aren't going down without a fight. The following is why I am not standing behind him.

'Obama's decree that would force veterans' to pay the medical bills for their combat bad press, including mockery by comedian Jon Stewart. Obama's proclamation would have required veterans' to pay the estimated $540 million annual cost for the treatment of injuries incurred during their tours on active duty.

The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his
proposal. "Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made
these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they
whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It just doesn't compute."

"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama
continued. "I wasn't asking for blood-just money. With the country facing the
worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do
would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit.. I guess I underestimated the
selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Can you believe that!? This is despicable, since it is voiced by our own President. Where is his sacrifice! I know that he looks down on national defense and the military. Apparently he feels that anyone in the United States military service has volunteered to have their marrow sucked dry. It is clear President Barack Obama has no idea what constitutes a Patriot.'

and now my question to you?

how can we start proceedings of impeachment. This guy is clearly showing signs that he sat in on a black movement anti American sunday gathering for 20 years. They probably called it a church to get the tax benefits. And I am NOT opposed to a black president. There are tons of good, black American patriots. But this one, is (how do they say it?) rogue!
*sherlockman needs a definition of rogue:

–noun
1. a dishonest, knavish person; scoundrel.

third rock,

First, I agree with you that I applaud Trump. I wasn't sure how he'd decide, but had high hopes he'd do the right thing. I know he let it drag out for reasons of publicity...he admitted that. It's downright INSULTING for people like Cheryle to say that she was whining when copycat "Perez Hilton" called her a c*#t, among other things. How DARE she DEFEND herself? Fascists...that's what they all are. And yes, I just said that.

Second, I cannot BELIEVE what you wrote above about what Obama said. I agree completely, he needs to be removed from office. Like you, we at this blog are FOR America. That makes me ANTI Obama, and any robot who blindly follows him, too stupid to see that what he's doing is destroying the very fabric of our country.

third rock from the sun said...

Yeh, Tami...those aren't Bhusseino's exact words, but an interpretaion on what he must have been thinking when he let someone in his administration persuade him to propose it veterans to pay for their own health care.

However, if one checks snopes...it does not claim it to be totally false. There is some truth in it. Has to be, why else would Bhusseino propose it?

He backed off when he faced the mountain of opposition. But he tried it...and that is why I am anti Bhusseino. He is testing his boundaries to see how far he can go...that is not the attributes of a true leader.

Unknown said...

Oh for crying out loud. Third Rock is against President Obama because he listens to his opposition? And she has the gall to insinuate that that is not a trait of a good leader? Gimme a break.

Tami said...

ROFL!!! Listens to his opposition? On what planet are you living? Make no mistake about it, he may APPEAR to listen, temporarily, but there's always another motive which almost always becomes crystal clear very soon thereafter.

third rock from the sun said...

Joe - press one for English and really listen to what I said, again.

"But he tried it...and that is why I am anti Bhusseino."

If anyone has the gall, it's Bhusseino for proposing such a thing ...and not standing behind our vets in every conceivable way in the first place.

Bhusseino's 'backing down' to the opposition should not be confused with 'listening' to the opposition.

He stepped on sacred ground where our military is concerned and he knows it...atleast he does now.

The only reason Bhusseino doesn't have a military background is because teleprompters aren't issued as part of the interceptor body armor or equipment issued to soldiers where protection is paramount.

Hey there Tami and Team,
I'm curious to know how everyone feels about the mudslinging within the Republican Party right now. It sounds like the 'moderates' and the 'conservatives' are not wanting to be of the same party anymore. Do you think this will pass? As conservatives, do you wish the Party would split or unite? If you do wish to unite, where do you think the middle ground should be, and how do you think we can all get there?
Thanks for commenting. God Bless!

The "team" will answer tomorrow, but my opinion is that splitting up the party would be a mistake. Third parties never win and pretty much serve more as a way of taking votes away from the two major parties more than anything. Don't get me wrong, it is perfectly fine, in my humble opinion, to have a third party--I just don't prefer to belong to one.

Do I think it will pass? Sure. It always does. This isn't the first time we've had infighting, and it won't be the last. It's good for us every once in a while--helps us get re-focused on what's important.

Do I think there's middle ground? On some issues, sure. I think what's important is that we focus on principles. Those on which this country was founded...and the moderates have to stop trying to use the Democratic playbook. It's really OKAY to pick a side and to stand for something! I think if Republicans can get back to focusing on what is right and what our forefathers intended for us, we'll be able to come together as one voice and when we do that, we are unbeatable.

Hope that answers your questions. :)

I believe Jesus of Nazareth taught a different lesson. He accepted everyone, and expected people to not judge others. I think he wouldn't have answered the way she did. Because of her religion she should have simply stated that there is only one person that people have to answer to, and that person is not me. Due to my religious beliefs I can not judge any other human.
