The Undefeated: A Review

Few things ignite passion more quickly than the mere mention of Governor Sarah Palin’s name, especially when it comes to the liberal left. That’s why I think Steven K. Bannon’s new documentary The Undefeated, set to release later this month in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, is going to be an enormous success. It tells the unvarnished truth about a working class wife and mother who rose to political prominence through sheer determination, guts, and a lot of hard work.


At a screening held on Thursday in Arlington, VA, Bannon said he originally turned down a request by Palin aides Rebecca Mansour and Tim Crawford to film a series of videos for the Governor. After witnessing the energy Sarah brought to the crowds at the first national tea party event in Nashville, Bannon began to do his homework and became convinced that Sarah was not the marginal, political lightweight the mainstream media has portrayed.


Like Fire From the Heartland, Bannon’s last documentary about the rise of conservative women in American politics, the style of The Undefeated features interviews from a variety of sources, including conservative powerhouses Mark Levin and Andrew Breitbart. News clips, footage from the campaign trail, and never-before-seen videos of the Heath and Palin families, along with gorgeous panoramic views of an untamed Alaskan wilderness, are just a few things one can expect when watching The Undefeated.


The beginning of the yet unrated two-hour documentary confronts the viewer with the vile, often explicit language used by Hollywood and political leftist elites when they discuss Sarah Palin. The film is divided into three acts: Act 1 gives a glimpse of a young Sarah and her early involvement in politics on the local and state level. Act 2 takes an extremely detailed look at the multitude of accomplishments Sarah made in the short eighteen months she served as Governor of Alaska, enjoying the highest approval rating of any sitting Governor in history. Act 3 begins where most Americans were first introduced to Sarah Palin--August 2008, when it was announced that she would join Senator John McCain as his Vice Presidential running mate.


The Undefeated, with it's Philip Glass style sound track, has a consistent theme throughout--it portrays a woman of deep courage and conviction, a politician with an intense focus and dedication to the people she's called to serve. The viewer will get to know a very different Sarah as he takes a journey through her political life, and along the way, I think he'll grow to love her as much as we do.

Will Sarah Run?

That's the big question of the week. I, for one, am very happy Sarah's held off announcing whether or not she'll make a run for the White House in 2012. What's the hurry? I mean, why not sit back and wait another couple of weeks or more, let everyone else throw their hats into the race, see what the landscape's going to look like, and then make your move. Sounds like good strategy to me, yet I'm fascinated by all the banter I've heard over the fact that she hasn't announced yet. Ridiculous. Reports indicated that citizens of South Carolina were angered recently by her absence at the May 5th GOP debate hosted by Fox News' Brett Baier in Greenville, SC. I'm from Greenville, and frankly, I find that very hard to believe. We're eighteen months from the '12 elections, and voters are already getting their dander up about someone not showing for a debate? I think the voters of South Carolina have better sense than that. My guess is that the mainstream media decided to stir the pot like they always do, and what better way than to create a controversy where this isn't one? When it comes to Sarah, that's old, tired strategy.

So, is she going to run, or isn't she? We'll see. She launches her "One Nation" bus tour this weekend in Washington, DC--a new campaign she's launching to energize Americans and share the importance of those principles on which this great nation was founded. 

Not only that, Sarah has also authorized a documentary about her career that will debut next month in...none other than....Iowa.  

A recent re-do of her website, the possible purchase of a home in the lower 48, along with the fact that she's re-hired two top aides--Jason Recher and Doug McMarlin--has fed the buzz. These guys were instrumental in helping steer her 2010 midterm efforts, during which her endorsements became a valuable commodity. 


So, we'll wait and see with the rest of America. In the meantime, our mission here at M4SP continues...conservative women, get engaged. Get involved. It's time to wake up and take back our country--my friends, we hold the key.

Virtual war: Palin v. Grayson

Sarah's twitter endorsement of Florida's Daniel Webster on Tuesday apparently hit a nerve with his opponent, Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson. 


The twitter comment that sparked the battle between Sarah and Grayson started when Sarah posted this: "FL's Daniel Webster - keep moving forward w/positive,strong,sharp message of truth! (As opposed to opponent who disgraced himself w/that ad)". The ad she is referring to is one the Grayson campaign aired last week grossly misrepresenting comments Webster had made to his constituents regarding his stand on scripture. I'm not sure I've ever heard a more dishonest ad, and clearly, Grayson could care less. That's just how he rolls. 


Grayson responded to Sarah, not defending his ad, but rather attacking her with this comment: "What is it about Palin and Twitter? Is it that 140 characters represents the maximum length of Palin's attention span?" and this link attached. (where he continues the attack, not on substance...nope, just name calling)


Sarah responded twice more: "Grayson's twisted campaign ad adds to 'media distrust' problem; he blatantly lies in vile rant, but greedy media run it anyway w/no fact check," and "Florida deserves the best! No need 2 settle 4 such an odd, troubled character 2 represent your beautiful state. Take pride in Daniel Webster." 


Funny. Grayson responds just like a wounded animal would respond when he fears for his life...clearly, he sees her as a threat to his political life and can't muster up enough sanity to respond in a more civil manner.

Well, Hello Again...

Hey there, friends! I've missed you! 


Welcome to all the new followers, and if you're new to the site, please allow me to apologize for the lack of posting in recent months. 


I lost touch for awhile. A long while.


My suspicion is, you know exactly how I feel. 


After the '08 election season, with all it's excitement (and if you haven't a clue what I mean, please check out the archives. You're in for an eye full), I needed a break. I tried to write here and there, even got involved on other sites doing some writing, thought I was being pulled in another direction entirely, even got mentioned in a book. (A very excellent one, I might add. You should go check it out!) 


But, nothing satisfied. 


Every time I even listen to or read about politics (and I do, daily) it literally makes me sick to my stomach. I've had no idea where to take this blog, or even what to say. Clearly, I can comment about politics in general, even if the subject is primarily Sarah Palin. She's been incredibly busy these days, so I'd have plenty to talk about...but something has been missing. I even created another blog so that I could write devotional type posts and satisfy my need to write about those sorts of things that are most important to me. This weekend, however, something happened to me that has begun to change my thinking. 


While nearly a half million people just like many of you were attending the Restoring Honor rally on the mall just a few short blocks from where I was, I was sitting in the Verizon arena, filled with over 20,000 Women of Faith. It was amazing, and if a woman sitting in that arena wasn't moved by what she heard, she might just be immovable. I was reminded what a great God I serve, and it occurred to me that I have very much shied away from talking about my personal "religious" beliefs, and those of Sarah Palin, on this blog. I guess I've kind of bought into the whole misrepresentation of the "separation of church and state" issue we've heard from the left for years. We touched on it some during the election, in posts like this one (be sure, if you take the time to read it, that you read the comment section as well--it's really better than the post itself) and others, but for the most part haven't discussed it much. 


I'm terribly sorry for that. As I viewed the reruns of the rally on the mall here in Washington this week, and thought about the conference I attended, I realized how many people were in our nation's capitol last weekend praising God! How amazing is that?!


Just when I was thinking I needed motivation to get my rear in gear writing again on this blog, I did something I rarely do these days, and I think it just might be the motivation I've been looking for, especially coupled with my realization this weekend. I turned the channel to a network I can barely stomach. 


Two words: Chris. Matthews. 


Ughhhh. 


Few words get under the skin of those of us who believe in real journalism and conservatism more than the name of the MSNBC host of Hardball. If you aren't familiar with the name, you may remember his comment after an Obama speech: "I felt this thrill going up my leg!" (after which he explained that this was an objective assessment) 


As I watched, I really was quite shocked by what I heard. Why, I don't know, because it isn't unusual. I guess I just haven't really listened in a while, and maybe that's good. When we get a daily dose of that garbage, we tend to get desensitized. They began to talk about Sarah, and the Vanity Fair hit piece that's about to hit news stands--you know she's a subject they cannot stop talking about--and not once during the conversation (that lasted probably fifteen minutes, I'm guessing) did they talk about actual policy. What they did discuss, however, was her looks and how bad she looks up against Tina Fey (seriously??)...they talked about what a liar she is, but cited not one fact...they talked about what a hack she is, from a small town like Wasilla, where no one supports her (which, I suspect, is absolutely untrue)...claimed she calls herself the next Ronald Reagan (had no source for that either, because it isn't true)...and complained about how shrill her voice is, and how they cannot believe anyone would want to listen to that nonsense. (she only draws the biggest crowds of any politician in recent history, but that's really nothing big, right?) Nothing with any substance or fact. 


Ever wonder why that is? 


You liberals who come here just to leave trashy comments, still, even when I haven't published a post in weeks--please, just settle down and think about it for a second. Have you ever stopped to think about why it is you hate Sarah Palin so much? You trash her because she was a homemaker before diving into politics, yet you then trashed her once she entered the arena because she was a working mom. You trash her because she's a Christian, yet you back the people wishing to trample the hearts of those whose loved ones were killed on 9/11 by building a mosque on their graves. You trash her for being very vocal about where she differs with Obama, yet you spent eight years squealing about George Bush, and still are. You trash her looks, and for that there is just no reason except pure jealousy. I could go on and on, and believe me, I will. For now, however, I'm going to trust that you get the point. 


Well, I'm sick of being quiet. I was ridiculed once, because I stated in an interview on CNN that one of the reasons I like Sarah Palin is because I am a Sarah Palin. That started a firestorm of hit pieces in the blogosphere and local south Florida newspapers aimed at me. The left has one tactic when they disagree--destroy. Instead of being hailed as a woman trying to generate a grassroots movement (getting"moms" to the voting booth) or being complimented as someone who was at least trying to do something, I was suddenly the fat, home schooling mom with crooked teeth, painted as a rich hick from Florida who was a "fan" of Sarah Palin. Nothing could have been farther from the truth, although the 3 minute CNN piece itself was more fair than I ever expected. (it was the CNN viewers who spewed the venom) First, I admit I have some pounds to lose, that's a given. (what woman doesn't feel that way?) It's true that I home schooled at the time, my teeth are not crooked, and having the ability to decorate well and shop for bargains certainly doesn't make us a rich family. If being from south Florida made me a hick, then I guess that one was true. What I meant by my comment was this--I'm a Christian wife and mom who, when my God, my family or my country are being attacked, is gonna come out swinging. That mama bear instinct Sarah talks about so frequently is something I can connect with. I admire that Sarah was that mama who saw a need in her little town of Wasilla, and stepped up to the plate to meet it. She had more guts than most men I know to do a thing like that, and I admire her for it. I've been accused of worshipping her, but nothing here has ever given that impression. To even be accused of that is absurd after watching the campaign of Barack Obama. I worship no person. My trust is in my almighty God, and I admire the politician with guts enough to say that out loud. Sarah Palin is that politician. As for me, I'm just a mommy blogger who decided to do something I actually had the freedom and the ability to do--share my opinion. Don't agree? I'm sorry you feel that way, but that's okay, we can't win 'em all.  


I have no idea what Sarah's political future is. I've gotten emails from readers asking me to give messages to Sarah...other than a handshake at a rally, I have never talked with Sarah Palin. My dream would be to one day sit down and do an in depth interview with Sarah, and if God allows such a thing, you'll be the first to hear about it. But know this, I'm just a mama who's passionate about what's right, and I believe Sarah is too. That's why I support her. As election season gets into full swing, I intend to stay motivated, writing about the things here that matter most to those of us who are conservatives. I get mad from time to time, and I come out swinging. I've been ridiculed for that, and as much as I'd love to say I'm sorry, it would be a lie. I'm not sorry for being passionate about my country. 


I watched (the replay) as that massive crowd said the Pledge of Allegiance on Saturday, and I began to cry. You can do that on the mall in Washington, but you can't even do it in the classrooms of our schools, I commented to my family. It breaks my heart. As my friends and I left the city on Saturday, I remarked how amazed I was that the trash was in and around the trash cans. I've been to DC for other big events, and the place was absolutely trashed. It wasn't so on Saturday. There was something different in the air, and we could feel it. I hope and pray that, as Glenn Beck said, the tide is turning. 


This mom will no longer be fearful of writing what's on her heart. I've rarely asked my readers to email me (or leave comments), but I would love to hear from you. McCain Enjoys Surge in Women's Political Coalitions Throughout Florida

(Tallahassee, FL) The Florida Federation of Republican Women today reported an unprecedented, statewide response from women voters for the Republican ticket. FFRW leaders noted the trend cuts across party lines and are predicting an all time record turnout among women, as early voting begins on October 21st in Florida.

"Thanks to the nomination of Sarah Palin, Florida is experiencing an unprecedented surge in women's coalitions from professional women's alliances and passionate Moms-for-Palin groups to Hillary Democrats for McCain. According to our leaders in Victory offices throughout the state, women are organizing at an amazing pace and new volunteers are being recruited every hour, "said Linda Ivell, president of the FFRW.

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Jim Greer praised Sarah Palin's qualifications resulting in the unique connection she is enjoying with women in Florida. "Governor Palin is experienced, knowledgeable and makes more decisions in one day than Senator Obama or Biden do in a year!" said Greer. Chairman Greer has formed the first RPOF Women's Outreach Coalition comprised of familiar grassroots leaders and many women who have never been directly involved in politics before this year but are clearly energized by this presidential race.

The unparalleled women's involvement even extends to the Florida fund raising arena - traditionally dominated by men, according to Cindy Graves, 1st VP of the FFRW. "During last week's million dollar fund raising swing through Jacksonville, an astounding 50% of the participants were professional women. That has never been accomplished even in Duval, a county well known for its fund raising efforts, "said Graves who served as a co-host of the Governor Sarah Palin Duval Fund Raiser.

Additionally, by all accounts Florida Women for McCain is the state's largest coalition, according to FWFM Chairwoman Sharon Day. "We started with a traditional base of party loyalists and have grown to more than 11,000 active Republican, Independent and Democrat women leaders. We have never seen this level of organized response among women in a national election in our state," said Day who has served as the Republican National Committeewoman of Florida since 2001.

Charles Darwin Vs. Sarah Palin

Many on the left have criticized Governor Sarah Palin for her views on origins.  Governor Palin is a woman of faith and so bases her cosmology on certain presuppositions traditionally held by Christians.  Some celebrities have been critical of her claim that humans were co extant with dinosaurs.  Perhaps Hollywood celebrities would do well to remember that they are, for the most part, clowns, whose professional purpose is to amuse (as did the court jesters of old) and nothing more.  

All of us, Christian or not, function from a set of presuppositions (basic truths which we hold to be self evident).  And, all of our presuppositions are based on faith.   The evolutionist has a different set of faith based presuppositions as compared to the creationist.  But, in the end, all systems rely on taking something for granted in faith.  Before you criticize Governor Palin too quickly, perhaps you should closely examine the prevailing theory of origins: evolution, espoused by Charles Darwin.  In broad terms, the theory of evolution posits that, through the mechanism of natural selection, one species evolves into another and so on in an inexorable process.  This process of natural selection should produce plant, animal, and insect forms of an innumerable variety.  Inadequate forms, with their unsuccessful mutations,  should be locked in the fossil record.  Here is where evolution meets with the unanswerable question of paucity in the fossil record.  For the sake of argument, let's admit archeopteryx and the smattering of other supposed intermediate forms "discovered" in fossil form.  For evolution to be viable, there would have to be millions upon millions of intermediate forms littering the fossil record.  No such body of evidence exists.  The great edifice of evolution stands on the foundation of the transformation of species into more advanced forms.  Here, the monolithic structure cracks and falls before a cursory review of its observable predictions.  Evolution is more about providing a salve for conscience than about accurately describing and predicting natural phenomena.  It is a faith for those who would deny Deity, nothing more.  

Governor Palin is criticized for holding a view of nature consistent with the Biblical description of creation; a view supported by rational observation.  In fact, the Biblically based presuppositions are the only truths upon which rationality can be based or upon which science can function.  Apart from the assumption that God is and that He has spoken in His word, there can be no rational theory of knowledge. Therefore, it is ironic that Governor Palin is attacked by persons who subscribe to a patently irrational ontology.  What are their presuppositions? That out of nothing arises something?  That from chaos springs order?  That from the womb of the inanimate life is born?  Accepted science once told us that the world was flat.  Who then is naive?  

Governor Palin has consistently demonstrated a strength of character born of conviction.  She possesses, in full measure, that essential quality of leadership: Christian character.  She is enabled by the magnanimity of her own religious tradition to embrace those of differing faiths, just as our founding fathers were inspired to provide for a free republic, open to the world's tired and huddling masses.  If Hollywood would criticize Governor Palin for her faith, then they disparage the American tradition that shelters all of us under the banner of freedom.  Sarah Palin's left-wing critics ally themselves with the religiously bigoted and politically fascist.

Feminist Endorses Sarah Palin

The National Organization for Women's Los Angeles chapter president, Shelly Mandell, introduced Sarah Palin this past weekend at an event in California.

"America, this is what a feminist looks like," stated Mandell. She was not speaking on behalf of NOW, but "as an individual, as a woman's rights activist for 30 years who has worked for all those years to see this day".

Shelly Mandell let it be known that she does not agree with Sarah on many of the issues, that she is a lifelong Democrat, but that she "is proud to support Sarah Palin, a woman who will fight for women's rights...a woman who will, Lord knows, shake things up". "I know Sarah Palin cares about women's rights, she cares about equality, she cares about equal pay, and as Vice President she will fight for it. She cares about our children and she cares about women's lives. She's an athlete and she knows what Title Nine did for girls like her."

I find this interesting! Randi, the CNN reporter who interviewed me yesterday, asked me why I thought Democrat women were beginning to get on board with McCain/Palin. I explained that, in my opinion, it has less to do with the issues and more to do with Sarah's authenticity, her toughness, her willingness to do what's right no matter what. Democrats or not, many people still respect that.

While I disagree with nearly everything Shelly Mandell believes in, I admire her for her guts! I am certain she will be tarred and feathered for her support of Sarah Palin, and that she was willing to take that risk says a lot about her. It will be interesting to see how things play out on this one.

Sarah's Back!!

Let's just think back for a second to the first time we really met Sarah on the national scene. John McCain shocked us all on August 29th as he announced Alaska's Governor, Sarah Palin, to be his running mate. In the following week, she delivered the speech of her life at the Republican convention in Minneapolis, and she lit the Republican party on fire! Not since Ronald Reagan have I seen the party this energized!

It took about 30 seconds for the mainstream media to begin the attacks and they came fast and furious. Nothing has been left untouched--especially her family. Sarah let it be known from the very beginning that she wasn't in the business of working for the media (one reason I love her so much) and has spent the last weeks reluctantly, it seems, granting interviews. She's been accused of not being available to them, and yet we have seen her in many interviews and on the stage almost daily over the last 5 weeks! However, today in an interview with Fox News' Carl Cameron, she promised to not be so reluctant to talk. She apologized that she had gotten so annoyed with them, and promised to try to work with the mainstream media, asking that they, in turn, make an attempt to be fair and objective in their questioning and editing. That's not too much to ask, now is it? I know it's a stretch for most, but I think that's what we all want. I don't expect that she not be asked the tough questions, that comes with the territory, and I have always thought she was perfectly capable! I just ask that the questions asked of her be presented in an objective, fair way (as I would expect them to be of any candidate) and that she be edited in a way that gives an honest representation of the actual interview.  (p.s. She does read, after all!)

Now, if you were watching most of the mainstream media networks today, you got the impression that Biden beat Sarah to a pulp last night in the debate. I didn't see the debate they did, apparently, because the debate I saw had a clear winner--and that was Governor Sarah Palin! 

"Palin’s style was “classic ‘talk over the heads of the media straight to the people,’ and it is a long time since I’ve seen it done so well,” says Peggy Noonan. “Joe Biden seems to have walked in thinking that she was an idiot and that he only had to patiently wait for this fact to reveal itself. This was a miscalculation.”

Look, this is not a high school popularity contest. This is a race in which we choose the President and Vice President of the United States of America--the greatest country on the face of this earth! The issues DO matter! The truth does matter! THAT is why I support Sarah Palin. I agree with her ON THE ISSUES.  Sarah is authentic, and that is why so many of us have been so impressed by her. You cannot force authenticity, you either have it or you don't. She has it, and I can say for certain that Joe Biden does not. 

I think from here on out we will see the Sarah we all have come to love and respect. Sarah, you knocked it outta the park last night--we are SO proud of you, girl!

Media Bias and Preparing For The Debate

Never in my lifetime have I seen anything to beat what is going on right now with regard to all things Sarah Palin. I have heard some of the most racist, sexist and just downright nasty comments I have ever heard about a politician in the media--and they're getting a pass. Two nights ago I heard Ashley Judd, who I love to see in a good MOVIE, say "a woman voting for McCain/Palin is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders."(BY THE WAY, ASHLEY--IN THE FUTURE DO NOT ASSUME YOU REPRESENT ALL WOMEN BECAUSE THIS MOM DOESN'T BELIEVE IN KILLING THE UNBORN OR MUCH OF ANYTHING ELSE YOU BELIEVE IN!!!) Canadians seem to think we care what they think, as journalist Heather Mallick weighs in, saying Sarah Palin looks like a "porn actress", and that "she isn't even female really", attacking her as "vicious and profoundly dishonest". Mallick also said that Republicans vote that way "to give themselves the only self-esteem available to their broken, economically abused existence"--this AFTER she called us "unlettered, white trash, and hicks". Palin's family wasn't immune either. The Canadian journalist attacked Bristol Palin, calling her "pramface", then calling her boyfriend an "f-in redneck". She attacked Track Palin saying he was absolutely "terrified" as he left for Iraq. 

To put the icing on the cake, get this: on NBC Nightly News last night, NBC stooped to an all time low when they sent a reporter to Hanoi to find McCain's captors so that they could confirm McCain's story of torture and make sure he was telling the truth. Shock of all shocks...his torturers tell a different story. Imagine that! Our enemies denying torture! It isn't enough that the men who were tortured alongside John McCain tell the same story, NBC has to go speak with the enemy and air their propaganda on American television. 

When is enough going to be enough? When are we going to get angry enough to stand up and speak out? I hope that what we've seen this last month is enough motivation...I've only given a sample of what's been said. It's nothing new, the media just isn't hiding their bias any longer, and they are no longer held accountable for journalistic malpractice (i.e. lying). We need to spend the next 24 hours praying for Sarah Palin like we haven't done thus far. Tomorrow night, the weight of the world will be on her shoulders. Millions will be watching, waiting to pounce if she makes even one misstep...all the while, Joe Biden (the walking "gaffe" machine) will get a pass no matter how poorly he performs. I look for Sarah to be who she is, true to herself and what she believes in--so, Sarah--in case we're fortunate enough for you to be reading this, we're praying for you and we're pulling for you 1000%! YOU GO GIRL! We KNOW you are going to ROCK THE HOUSE!!

Thursday Night's Debate Moderator Needs To Be Replaced: CALL TO ACTION!

As you know, the much anticipated debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden is tomorrow night! Gwen Ifill, of PBS, will moderate this event. An interesting tidbit has emerged, however, that Ifill has played quite a part in promoting the success of Barack Obama. Gwen Ifill, as most are from PBS, is a known liberal and has been on many mainstream media networks criticizing Palin and clearly supporting Obama. Her new book, entitled "Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" releases on Inauguration day.  Her participation in the debate is unacceptable. I really hope that Republicans and others intending to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin won't let the Democratic nominee for the highest office in the land BULLY them into voting, based on race OR legal threats.  Seems ANYTHING said that is critical of Obama is what he considers a lie, even though there is solid evidence to back up what's being said. (I have been accused of lying on this site when simply using his MIDDLE name!)

Perhaps our girl Sarah should take notes and follow suit. The things being said about her by the Obama campaign and his friends in the blogoshpere are PROVEN to be lies. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

Thanks once again, Obama, for the motivation. The more you make a fool out of yourself pulling these stunts, the more you motivate those of us already in the McCain/Palin camp and those who were on the fence. GREAT job rallying the troops!

Getting Involved

I just had the best time this afternoon! I needed to go down to the McCain Victory office to deliver a few t-shirts and I met some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting since I've lived in this area. I know sometimes it's intimidating to think about helping a campaign. Maybe, like  I have felt in the past, you think you aren't qualified, or time is limited. Whatever your reason, I am here to assure you that YOU ARE qualified! If you are a registered voter and have the desire to help the McCain/Palin campaign, they would LOVE to have your help! You can make phone calls, get handouts and instruction on where to canvas...whether you have one hour or an entire Saturday, if you have the willingness to help, they have a job for YOU! I left that office more motivated than EVER to do my part! If you don't have but a minute, drop by and thank the volunteers that are there for their tireless efforts. It's a great way to meet like minded people and have fun doing so! I cannot stress enough that THIS is the time, more than ever before in our nation's history, to GET INVOLVED.

On Sarah

I'm going to step out on a limb here, and share something I have been troubled about these last few days.....

I am in no way being critical of Sarah Palin, I love her and I think she is doing an awesome job out on the campaign trail- in spite of the constant ambushes by the media. (after all, I have dedicated this entire blog to the support of this remarkable woman!) However, having said that, I think we are not seeing all of Sarah out there in some of these interviews. I don't know what's holding her back or who is holding her back, but from everything I have seen and read we are not seeing as much of that 'pitbull in lipstick' as I hope we'll be seeing in the coming weeks! (and we've seen some pretty awesome stuff so far!!) Perhaps she is holding back until the debate, and if so--YOU GO GIRL! It's time to be blunt and call things as you see 'em! I know you have it in you--you proved that long ago!

Go get 'em Sarah! We are behind you 1,000%!

Just Another Day!

I’ve gotta tell ya...I don’t know about you, but I’m havin’ fun! This campaign has given me a whole new energy with respect to politics, and I am hearing that from lots of women all over the country! Let us not grow complacent though, we have a lot of work to do between now and November.

Before Sarah Palin entered the picture, I’d been to one other political rally in my life, and that was for Ollie North, many years ago in Virginia. Before Sarah, I voted and my husband and I occasionally gave a donation to our party. Other than that, I was a hands off conservative content to stay in the background quietly supporting my candidate. However, when John McCain shocked us all with his announcement of Governor Palin last month, this became a whole new ballgame for me. I’d never really cared whether a woman was put on the ticket or not, but when it happened, that was just icing on the cake! I like Sarah Palin, first, because she is a Christian conservative. Second, I like her because she says what she means and you'd better believe she means what she says! You know what you are getting with Sarah Palin! Third, I like her because of her story. She IS someone I can relate to, not an elitist snob (among other things). Sarah Palin worked hard to get where she is today, and I LOVE, fourthly, that she doesn’t pander to the media. I could go on listing my reasons, but you get my drift. I have NEVER seen my conservative Republican friends and family this pumped over a political campaign of any kind! I was asked at the rally on Sunday, “weren’t you for Hillary?” NO!!! I was NOT for Hillary! I don’t care who leads this country: black man, white man, Hispanic man, black woman, white woman, whoever....just give me a true conservative who is going to govern with the principles on which this country was founded and I will vote for them every time. A true conservative is hard to come by these days, and with all the mess that has been made of our government, you might think Americans would connect the dots. The truth is, I think Americans ARE connecting the dots, and come November 4th I guess we’ll find out. (we need to rid ourselves of the Democratic majority) The awesome thing is, my Country is still the greatest country on Earth.  I love her more today than ever before, and I am VERY proud to be an American. 

I want to share something else I found about Sarah today; something that makes me like her even more, thanks to MSNBC. (Losers that they are!) In doing some research, I came across an article posted on HotAir.com that linked to an article entitled “The ‘Lost’ Palin Files”, written by Jim Popkin of NBC news. Clearly written as a smear of Sarah, he tells of how small Wasilla really is and belittles Sarah for all the personal notes she wrote to the residents there. One note, however, was written to the editor of a San Fransisco newspaper after federal judges ruled, in 2002, that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools was unconstitutional because of the phrase “under God”. Sarah’s letter to the editor said the following: “Dear Editor: San Fransisco judges forbidding our Pledge of Allegiance? They will take the phrase ‘under God’ away from me when my cold dead lips can no longer utter those words. God Bless America.”

One other note about a stellar member of Congress. Alcee Hastings, a black Democrat from Florida (I’m sorry to say), was speaking to an audience hosted by the National Jewish Democratic Council yesterday, and he said this about Sarah Palin: “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.” So, what are you saying Mr. Hastings? If I own a gun or hunt, I am dangerous to Jews and blacks? To read the whole story, click here. Besides needing a lesson in how to properly speak English, Mr. Hastings needs to learn how to keep his racism in check.

Amazing...thanks to the Dems for keeping me as energized as ever, and thanks to all of you out there who continue to visit this site. I am humbled that you would take time out of your busy schedule, and let me stress again--this election is VITAL. WE MUST get out the vote!!!

Rolling Stone Magazine May Show Up In YOUR Mailbox!

FYI- according to an article posted on MichelleMalkin.com, you or your young person may receive a free, unsolicited issue of Rolling Stone Magazine in your mailbox. The latest issue features Sarah Palin once again, in an article entitled "The Lies of Sarah Palin", and they seem to be targeting our young people, filling their heads with all the latest garbage the left has launched against Governor Palin--all lies. 

In case you are the recipient of one of these magazines, one of Michelle's readers has this advice: "Advise your readers to mark in big, block letters (use a black Sharpie pen if you have one), across the front of the unsolicited Rolling Stone magazines received: REFUSED. Place the marked item back into the U.S. Mail, at any mailbox including your own, and the USPS will return the magazine to the publisher, at the publisher’s cost in postage."
