In case you don't remember, Joe McGinnis is the author who decided the best way to do research for his new Sarah Palin biography would be to move in fifteen feet from the Palin household this past May. The Palin's responded by building a rather large fence to keep him from peering into their house from his perch, and wouldn't you know it? Mr. McGinnis is whining rather loudly (via his attorney, of course) after he was filmed by the producers of Sarah's new TLC show Sarah Palin's Alaska (set to air November 14th at 9 PM EST) It seems this stalker doesn't much like being watched or talked about without his permission.
This law firm represents Joe McGinniss. It has come to our attention that the first episode (titled “Mamma Grizzly”) of the above referenced television show, scheduled to air on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 9:00 PM on TLC, contains unauthorized videotaped images of Mr. McGinniss which were obtained without his knowledge or consent. In addition, you have already placed a video clip containing this image of Mr. McGinniss on your website and it has been picked up and reproduced by the Huffington Post and many other online sites...Read the rest of the letter here.
I guess when you've previously written hit pieces on a subject, and then moved in a few feet from their home in the vast wilderness of Alaska to observe and write another hit piece, you have every right to cry foul when you happen to be close enough to be filmed in a special being filmed on their property, right?
